Objective of the Role: This specialist position within the Compensation team focuses on delivering expert-level reward knowledge and strategic insight to the organisation.
The role involves continuous evaluation of the organisation’s compensation structure, ensuring alignment with market trends and the organisation’s broader talent strategy.
A critical element of the role is staying informed about evolving industry practices and providing high-level advisory support to leadership on the organisation’s total reward framework. This includes enhancing existing compensation plans and developing new reward initiatives as needed, with a strong emphasis on effective implementation and clear communication across the organisation.
This role supports senior leadership in shaping and executing the organisation’s compensation philosophy and ensuring its principles are well-understood across all levels. It also plays a key role in offering strategic consulting support to HR partners for specific business units, enabling them to apply reward policies effectively and build deeper expertise in compensation management.
Key Responsibilities: Policy Design and Execution:
Contribute to the development and articulation of the organisation’s reward strategy, ensuring compensation policies align with long-term goals.
Regularly evaluate pay structures and reward frameworks against market benchmarks, leading data analysis and recommending adjustments.
Collaborate on the transition to job-family-based benchmarking and assist with the organisation’s annual pay review strategy.
Support senior leadership in preparing compensation recommendations for executive-level approval, ensuring performance-driven alignment with reward policies.
Lead specific reward initiatives aimed at enhancing compensation practices, from conceptualisation to consultation and execution.
Manage distinct reward projects to introduce or improve elements of the total compensation offering.
Drive the development and implementation of new or revised compensation policies, securing stakeholder alignment throughout the process.
Lead efforts to effectively communicate policy changes across the organisation, ensuring transparency and clarity.
Advisory and Expertise:
Serve as a trusted advisor to HR business partners, providing expert guidance on reward strategies and complex compensation matters.
Offer data-driven insights and tailored advice to address specific business unit needs, ensuring informed decision-making.
Collaborate on the design and delivery of staff communications and training sessions related to reward philosophy and policies.
Build external networks to stay informed on best practices and emerging trends in compensation and benefits.
Analyse and interpret market data from surveys and external sources to inform internal compensation decisions.
Operational Excellence:
Maintain and update internal salary ranges to reflect market positioning.
Lead the annual compensation review process, ensuring fairness and consistency across pay increases, performance rewards, and promotions.
Oversee compensation-related systems and tools, ensuring efficient and accurate operation.
Manage relationships with external vendors to maintain high service standards and accurate billing.
Ensure compliance with internal controls related to compensation processes.
Collaborate with internal teams to maintain accurate and up-to-date policy documentation.
Leadership and Collaboration:
Support the engagement and development of team members, including mentoring and performance management.
Model and promote the organisation’s core values, maintaining the highest standards of integrity and ethical conduct.
Required Skills and Experience:
Relevant degree or equivalent professional experience; HR or reward qualifications preferred.
Strong relationship management and consulting skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
Analytical mindset and proficiency in data-driven decision-making.
Excellent communication abilities, capable of simplifying complex information.
Effective prioritisation and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
Comprehensive understanding of reward management, including pay structures and job evaluation.
Proven experience in advising senior stakeholders on compensation matters.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and HR information systems; SAP HR experience is a plus.

- Health and Safety (Projects) London, NW11 Duration: Two Year Fixed Term Contract Salary - up to £50k per annum My client is looking for an experienced Health and Safety Project Manager to join their team, initially on a 2-year FTC to support them with developing, implementing and overseeing health and safety programmes and protocols to ensure that the organisation is delivering safe, efficient and compliant housing across their housing stock. Day to day responsibilities include: Ensuring fully complaint, safe and quality housing Ensuring that all health and safety and compliance inspections are carried out, including but not limited to fire, electrical, asbestos and legionella.
