Will be with a mix of site work, office coordination and overseeing the sites.

What will your key responsibilities be?
§ Take a lead role in the survey, design, installation and testing of private wireless cloud-based solutions. This will include consideration to comms room, GPS locations, radio/antenna locations, power/fibre presentation points plus any site-specific access requirements and defining cable/fibre routes.
§ Take a lead role in commissioning, on-site integration and remote configuration of small cell radios working directly with clients and Mobile Network Operators where needed.
§ Working both at customers sites and remotely providing technical support to other field engineering teams and the Delivery Manager.
§ To keep Project Sponsors and other stakeholders up to date with progress. Establish and maintain effective business relationships both internally within the business, as well as with relevant external stakeholders and customers.
§ To comply with the relevant Health and Safety Policy provisions
What competencies are we looking for?
§ The successful candidate will have good technical knowledge of 4G/5G mobile infrastructure in a RAN environment along with an understanding of antennas, fibre, CAT5 and coax cables (RF) and associated connectors. They will be experienced with the commissioning, on-site integration and remote configuration of RAN based systems such as small cell radios ideally for both Nokia and Ericsson CRAN/DRAN kit. The candidate would have experience co-operating with Mobile Network Operators to integrate and bring into service newly installed kit.
§ In addition, the successful candidate will have experience with survey, design, build and testing of private wireless an industrial campus cloud-based networks. This will include both network architecture plus health and safety aspects at customer sites.
§ An understanding of how the AC/DC power of these sites is configured is important.
§ An ability to lead customer and internal discussions on creating technical solutions.
§ Ability to prioritise and organise workloads to meet deadlines
§ Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and the capability to quickly learn about the core IT systems which the business use is essential (eg Oracle/Site-tracker).
§ Experience and confidence working in a customer facing organisation.
§ A full driving licence.
§ Experience working at height will be of benefit.

The successful candidate will have knowledge and extensive experience in automation testing, to enable a fast feedback loop for the development teams working on business-critical features. Experience of test planning, the ability to develop a test strategy and test approach, particularly tailored to individual releases, will also be essential. As the UK Bank becomes accustomed to more agile ways of working, it is also important that the successful candidate is very familiar with agile concepts and has proven experience of one or more agile methodologies and /or frameworks. Digital solutions will need to be delivered iteratively and in a continuous, prioritised fashion, achieving optimum speed to market and value from the outset.
