Job Specifications

You’ll be joining a quant-focused hedge fund at a key stage of growth as they re-architect their on-prem solutions and migrate a number of key services to the cloud (AWS).

Their cloud journey is at the initial stages, meaning you’ll enjoy working in a greenfield environment within an already successful trading environment.

The fund operates more in line with a fintech as opposed to an established hedge fund.

It’s a 250-headcount business, things move fast here. There is limited red tape and engineers are empowered to make decisions and help to implement change. Collaboration is key here, you'll initially work 5 days on-site before dropping down to 4 days per week after passing probation.

It’s a varied role, you’ll design cloud solutions and implement these in code before supporting the build. There’ll be a strong focus on automation here. You’ll develop and maintain Terraform modules for IaC, automate configuration management using Ansible and use Python to create scripts to fill in gaps when pipelines need glue.

Whilst working in a financial/trading environment is advantageous, they are open to Engineers from outside of the industry. It’s essential that you’ll have helped a tech-driven organisation on a similar cloud transformation journey.

Realistic compensation is up to £140k basic salary + bonus.
