This position is part of a specialised team focused developing cutting-edge data streaming and pipeline solutions, providing critical infrastructure that empowers engineering teams across the business to fully leverage data.
You'll design and optimise high-performance streaming and big data and event-driven applications, enabling seamless real-time data processing throughout the organisation. This team’s work covers scalable platform development and microservices, enhancing internal capabilities and technical efficiency.
Ideally you will have experience in Java, Kotlin, Scala, Rust or other JVM languages. Prior experience with streaming technologies like Kafka Streams, Flink, or Spark is a plus, but not required.
More important is having technical curiosity - a drive to explore where data originates from and to understand its impact.
Given the cross-functional nature of the team, strong communication skills are essential. You will work closely with engineering teams across various business areas, ensuring solutions are integrated seamlessly and effectively.

You don’t need any prior buy-side experience to join this fund, where you’ll join a stable team who’ve mostly been there for years.
The company culture of treating people well has meant that few people want to leave. The development team has remained lean, which will give you the chance to work on a range on projects – all software is built in house.
Whilst there’s plenty of variety, most of the work will focus largely on RAD-type projects that directly support the front office trading activities. You’ll work closely with the business users to understand what they need, before building out the application. You’ll see the impact you’re having, daily.
Part of your job will involve supporting and troubleshooting issues with the applications. As they’re all built in-house, this is fairly normal, but you’ll need to be prepared to get your hands dirty with this problem-solving aspect of the job.
You’ll be working primarily with C#, React and SQL for some of the older platforms. The key focus is that you’ve got a few years development experience with C# being the key skill required. The more of React and SQL you have, the better.
This is a stable Hedge Fund with consistent performance, with a strong reputation in the industry and a global presence. Starting salary will be up to £150,000 plus bonuses.

Infrastructure Engineer - Investment Bank - London
Do you want to step foot into a faced past, dynamic financial service environment? This investment bank is looking for a IT Infrastructure Engineer to join their team.
As an infrastructure engineer you will be challenged with designing, implementing and maintain the company's technology infrastructure. Due to the small environment you will act as an escalation point for the more junior members of the team and help resolve more complex technical issues.
To really succeed here you will need a 'no job too big or small' mentality and be happy to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in.
From a technology perspective they are a windows and Citrix environment so you will need to be comfortable across Windows and the full Microsoft 365 stack, AD, GPO and Azure, strong understanding of network fundamentals preferably Cisco and automation tools like PowerShell.
If you have 3-8 years' experience in a system and infrastructure engineering position this role has the scope to be a great next step in your career.
This is a fully onsite role paying up to £70,000 plus a performance based bonus.
