In an operations role here, you'll gain exposure to every part of the business. Early on, you'll have the chance to take charge of processes. Strong coding skills are crucial for this role. Automation of post-trade activities is key here as they execute millions of trades daily. With support from the team, you'll refine and develop new processes using technical skills like Python, Go and SQL. You'll also address a variety of daily challenges, requiring frequent interaction with other teams and external partners. On top of the technical skills, strong business knowledge is required - you'll need a few years of operations experience across a wide range of asset classes, relating to Middle-Office processes (reconciliation, PnL, risk, treasury etc.). You’ll be working closely with fundamental PMs and you will immediately become an integral part of the investment team. Grow into a leader, mentor more junior quants and implement your strategies across futures markets. You’re going to be coming into the mid-frequency team here, focused on systematic futures. It’s a fully automated trading system that trades across various asset classes, but you will focus on commodities systematic trading research. Mid-frequency futures are a huge area of growth this year and you’ll become the specialist to in this area over time. There are all kinds of growth potential here, with the growth of the business in London accelerating over the past few years. As a mentor, you’ll have the chance to grow into a leader if this is something you desire. Management isn’t the only route if you’d prefer to stay hands-on research focused. With that, of course, will come the chance to earn far beyond the expected first year total compensation of up to £500,000. You’ll be given plenty of freedom to produce your own research of new signals and you’ll be given the full support to implement them within the trading system. You’ll also be encouraged to look at current strategies in production and suggest improvements and making suggestions on other markets where your strategies can be used. Improvement and progression are a way of life here.
