This role is integral to Ankura’s Cyber & Privacy practice, which operates within the Data & Technology business group—one of seven practices dedicated to client delivery services across the firm.
We are seeking a confident and dynamic Cyber Security Business Development Manager with a proven track record in selling IT Security and Cyber solutions to corporate clients. You will collaborate with the leadership team, playing a crucial role in expanding and enhancing the Ankura Cybersecurity & Privacy practice in the UK. The ideal candidate must be adept at setting up both in-person and virtual meetings.
Requirements
Demonstrated expertise in sales with a proven track record of generating at least £5 million in business.
Demonstrated experience maintaining professional networks with cyber security stakeholders in Cyber Insurance, Law Firm and Industry sections such as PE / Corporate Mid market.
Possess a technical background in IT or information security to engage credibly with buyers and senior stakeholders, and effectively communicate with law firms, insurers, and corporate clients.
Proven experience in selling complex cybersecurity solutions or services.
Consistently meet and exceed activity and sales targets while ensuring business growth, customer loyalty, and satisfaction.
Experience engaging with C-Suite and senior-level customers, with the capability to have meaningful discussions with the Chief Security Officer (CSO) to understand cybersecurity needs.
Proven success in achieving results and driving new customer onboarding to improve account development and management.
Strong understanding of the Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) portfolio and the cyber market.
Hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited institution.
Be a proactive self-starter with excellent MS Office skills, particularly in using presentation tools like PowerPoint.
Strong research skills to identify leads and opportunities, with a proactive approach to converting leads into sales. Experience in cold calling, suitable for an inside sales role.
Demonstrable interest in cybersecurity and a willingness to learn about our offerings to effectively position and market them to clients, with a good understanding of the cyber market without needing deep technical expertise.
Effective oral and written communication skills, confident in making calls to secure meetings with potential clients. Capable of creating and delivering effective presentations.
Ability to concisely summarize meeting discussions to identify and pursue follow-up and sales opportunities. Disciplined in tracking leads and ensuring follow-through.
Willingness to attend conferences and seminars (both virtual and in-person) to network and establish connections.
Flexible and adaptable to leadership demands, with the ability to involve them early in opportunities to enhance closure potential.
Collaborate closely with subject matter experts and consultants to build a strong pipeline of opportunities.
Team player, able to work collaboratively with others rather than independently.
Capable of setting clear objectives aligned with business goals and effectively communicating how these objectives will be achieved and exceeded.
