We're seeking someone to join our Middle Office FID Allocations platform (Vista FID) as a Software Engineer in TEDRA Department to contribute towards our renovation and convergence initiatives.

In the Technology division, we leverage innovation to build the connections and capabilities that power our Firm, enabling our clients and colleagues to redefine markets and shape the future of our communities. This is a Software Engineering II position at Associate level, which is part of the job family responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions that support business needs.

What You'll Do In The Role

Participate in the design, development, and testing of software applications.
Collaborate with team members to understand requirements and deliver on software projects.
Assist in troubleshooting and debugging software issues.
Learn and apply best practices in software development methodologies.
Contribute to code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Document technical specifications and system configurations.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the software engineering team.
Engage in training and upskilling activities to enhance technical skills.
Work on renovation initiatives to upgrade the application on the latest tech stack i.e. Java 21, Spring boot 3.3+, Gradle, Mongo
Identify synergies and converge processes with parallel and neighbouring systems to reduce functional redundancy and optimize future maintenance.
Participate in the design, development, and testing of legacy (java8) application and the renovated components.
Collaborate with global FID operations and team members to understand requirements and deliver on enhancements and bigger initiatives.
Assist in troubleshooting and supporting the Business Functions in production.
Contribute to code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members and even to co-related systems.
Contribute to the overall Department renovation strategy, by participating but not limited to Agile Chapter level design discussions and presenting on similar forums.

What You'll Bring To The Role

Ability to engage with the broader team, communicate goals, tasks, and deliverables in 1-1 and team meetings.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Proficiency in Java programming language
Understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Basic knowledge of databases and data structures.
Willingness to learn new technologies and tools.
At least 2 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role.
