Site Engineer : Hinkley Point C

Randstad are recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join the Hinkley Point C nuclear power project in Somerset. This is a contract role offering a competitive rate and the opportunity to work on a critical project within a leading construction company.

Responsibilities

Assist the Site Agent in overseeing all aspects of the project, including planning, coordination, and execution of works.
Supervise and coordinate the work of a team of site staff, including technicians, surveyors, and operatives.
Ensure adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
Implement and maintain safety procedures and ensure compliance with strict nuclear industry regulations.
Manage and resolve technical issues that arise on site, ensuring timely and efficient solutions.
Prepare and maintain project documentation, including site surveys, drawings, reports, and safety records.
Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.

Essential Qualifications

Proven experience as a Site Engineer or in a similar role within the construction industry, with a strong focus on nuclear or energy projects.
A strong understanding of construction methods and processes relevant to nuclear power facilities.
Experience working on complex projects within the nuclear industry.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders.
Strong problem:solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
