Job Summary
Applications are invited for a Junior Clinical Fellow post in our unit. This is a fixed term appointment from August 2025 for a period of mandatory 12 months and is based at Arrowe Park Hospital and Clatterbridge Hospital on the Wirral.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be expected to support the Urology service, and develop core surgical and urological skills with a view to furthering a career in surgery or urology. They will support the FY1 tier and also participate in a dedicated urology on call rota. The post holder will also be expected to undertake undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and to participate in audit and clinical governance activities.
In conjunction with Consultant and Senior colleagues, to provide a service in Urology with responsibility for core urology services.
In conjunction with Consultant and Senior colleagues, to play a full part in the out-of-hours On-Call service for the department.
In conjunction with Consultant and Senior colleagues, to take part in medical audit and research as appropriate.
In conjunction with Consultant and Senior colleagues, to ensure that the requirements of clinical governance are met.
To ensure that there are adequate arrangements for hospital staff involved in the care of your patients to be able to contact you when necessary.
