Software development requirement:
·This is to develop robust, effective, secure, and maintainable code to deliver specific outcomes within a framework of overall service design.
·Developers are expected to write technical documentation as they develop and to undertake their own testing to ensure that changes work as expected and do not create unexpected impacts on other aspects of the service. They are expected to work in ways that permit high levels of test automation and scripted/automated deployment.
·Developers may often peer-review each other’s code and offer constructive feedback to improve quality overall. All code is expected to be routinely checked-in to a code repository and shareable between developers and other team members.
·Developers will work collaboratively with all team members, but especially with those undertaking user research and testing tasks. In these areas especially, they will work together with relevant people for the benefit of the service overall.
·The Client expect developers to use Ofsted-issued devices unless otherwise agreed and to use Ofsted-provided repositories and coding / cloud management solutions.
