Job Title: Drainage Manager
Rate: Approx. £275 per day (Umbrella)
Duration: 3-Month Rolling Contract (Potential Extension)
Location: Hybrid (2 Days Home Working, Site Visits Required)
Job Purpose:
We are looking for an experienced Drainage Manager to lead the development and delivery of proactive and cyclical drainage programmes. You will oversee a small team, manage drainage issues, and work closely with various departments to ensure effective service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage drainage programmes to maintain highway resilience.
Lead and support a team of three technical officers, driving high performance.
Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve drainage challenges.
Provide timely and professional responses to member and public inquiries.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and continuous performance improvements.
Essential Criteria:
Proven experience in highways drainage management.
Strong leadership skills and team management experience.
Excellent understanding of drainage systems, highways infrastructure, and relevant legislation.
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Desirable Criteria:
Qualification in civil engineering or related field.
Experience in local government or public sector.
Familiarity with asset management systems.
