The role: Data Scientist (Risk & Fraud) – Global Media Technologies
Location: Fully remote within the London / South East UK regions
Salary: £80k to £90k basic (DOE) + benefits (PAYE, paid weekly, within IR35)
Contract: 6 months (to start ASAP – max 4 weeks notice) with a strong possibility of extension
You must be fully clear to work in the UK without the need of relocation/sponsorship
We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist to support financial risk and fraud prevention efforts within a fast-paced technology environment. This is a fully remote, UK-based 6-month contract with a strong potential of extension.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop dashboards and data pipelines to monitor financial risk and fraud trends.
Conduct root cause analysis to identify threats and improve fraud prevention controls.
Work closely with data scientists and engineers to enhance platform security and compliance.
Top 3 Non-Negotiable Requirements:
You’ll have at least 5+ years relevant experience within a similar role, alongside in-depth SQL proficiency – ability to query and analyse large datasets efficiently.
Expertise in risk and fraud analytics – experience in financial crime, fraud detection, or compliance.
Data visualisation skills – proficiency in Google Sheets, Google Suite, and dashboard creation.
Top 3 Good-to-Have Requirements:
Python skills for automation and advanced data analysis.
Experience in financial services, fintech, or risk analytics.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present insights effectively.
