Senior Software Engineer
Industry: Video Experience Company
Location: Cardiff, Cardiff, United Kingdom
Salary: £380/Day (Inside IR35)
Contract Length: 6 months
Remote Working: Up to 2 days a week (Thursday and occasional day for team events)
Key Skills and Responsibilities
Be highly skilled and experienced in JavaScript, React, CSS and Node.js
Have an awareness of accessibility standards (a11y)
Understand browser performance and have experience optimising code for performance
Have experience working in fast-changing environments with context switching
Have experience with automated testing and Test-Driven Development (TDD), such as Jest or Puppeteer
Be familiar with Jira and Confluence
Have experience with video and multimedia (desired)
Have mentored or coached other software developers (desired)
Enjoy collaborating with engineers and cross-functional teams
Have a strong willingness to learn and be a keen team player
Have experience writing and taking responsibility for technical documentation
Experience
A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer, ideally with a focus on media-related projects
Very good working knowledge of standard software development frameworks, techniques, and methodologies
Experience providing coaching and mentoring
Ability to work collaboratively in a team, contributing to the development of business scenarios
Knowledge of software development tools and technologies
Be flexible and curious in your approach
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
