Your Role

As the International Sales Manager (South Africa and India), you’ll be a crucial part of the International Sales Team. As our primary liaison for Pan Macmillan South Africa and India, you’ll play a key role in managing all facets of our day-to-day interactions with our partners in these regions to grow our sales. You will forge strong relationships, align sales targets and priorities, and support the development of cohesive marketing and publicity campaigns. The role reports into the International Sales Director, Exclusive Markets, and you will be responsible for executing a successful strategy within those regions, driving sales across all imprints. This is an exciting and multifaceted role which has a tangible impact on our overall success as a team.

Your Key Responsibilities

Main sales contact for the teams at Pan Macmillan South Africa and India
Develop and implement strategy for new titles and backlist to drive ambitious growth
Federal responsibility – attending various internal publishing meetings such as covers, acquisitions and editorial
Manage and achieve budgets
Deliver engaging sales presentations
Report back widely on the successes and challenges within these regions.

Essential experience, abilities and knowledge you’ll need to succeed:

Publishing sales experience
Outstanding communication, sales, and presentation skills
Ability to multitask, juggle a busy workload, and stay calm under pressure
Ability to communicate confidently and build strong working relationships, both internally and externally

This is a full time, 12 month fixed term role, and will be based in our offices in Farringdon, London, with some flexibility to work from home each week.
