Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced AI LLM Data Scientist to join our team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in large language models and data integration to build sophisticated AI systems that can synthesise information from diverse data sources to generate valuable recommendations and insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement data pipelines that can ingest, clean, and process multiple data types (text, structured data, time series, etc.)
- Develop methodologies to harmonise heterogeneous data sources for use in LLM training and fine-tuning
- Build and fine-tune large language models using techniques such as retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), prompt engineering, and few-shot learning
- Create recommendation systems that leverage the combined power of LLMs and traditional ML approaches
- Implement evaluation frameworks to measure model performance, relevance, and business impact
- Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy models into production environments
- Stay current with the rapidly evolving field of LLMs and AI recommendation systems
Required Qualifications
- Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in machine learning with a focus on NLP and LLMs
- Strong understanding of modern LLM architectures and techniques (fine-tuning, RAG, RLHF, etc.)
- Experience training and deploying custom LLMs for specific business applications
- Proficiency in Python and relevant ML/DL frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face)
- Experience with vector databases and embedding technologies
- Strong software engineering skills and familiarity with MLOps practices
- Excellence in communicating complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with multimodal data integration for AI applications
- Familiarity with recommendation systems and personalisation algorithms
- Knowledge of data privacy considerations when working with LLMs
