As a Senior Data Scientist, you will be part of the Data Enlightenment team (including Data Scientist, Software Engineers and Product Managers) having the mission to “empower TheFork with a strong data foundation and culture, leveraging Data Science and AI, leading to disruptive marketplace innovations”.
You will report to the Data Science Manager and be part of a team of 3 other Data scientists.
What You Will Do
As a key player of the Data Science team, you will be onboarded within one product team to help them accelerate their strategy and related projects thanks to Data Science/ML/IA.
You will have the opportunity to work on TheFork B2C (website/app) and B2B (TheFork Manager) products. You will develop a deep understanding of TheFork value proposition for B2C/B2B customers in order to deliver best in class data products involving ML/IA and integrated within our Product.

Build recommendations algorithms to be integrated on our app / website
Improve the way restaurants are ranked in our search engine
Build an agentic system to answer diner questions
Leverage GenAI to generate restaurant description from reviews
Generate text descriptions from images to improve our restaurant knowledge
The Expected Outcomes Of Your Role Are
High business value for projects deployed in production
Build with your product team impactful projects around personalization, search, product content, forecasting, GenAI… to be delivered in production
You’ll work closely with product managers, software engineers, ops and other data stakeholders in order to deliver well shaped, monitored and actionable projects for B2C/B2B end users.
Scalable and performant assets
All the assets produced to deliver these projects should be scalable, performant and cost efficient. Anyone in the team could be onboarded quickly and maintenance costs should be low
Bring the Data Science team to the next level
Data Enlightenment team upskilled around Deep Learning and at least one of the following application fields : Reinforcement Learning, Computer Vision, Ranking, NLP, Search, Recommendation…
ML technical stack improved in order to support the team growth and new projects requirements

You have a Master’s Degree of an Engineering School with a specialization in mathematics, computer science or Data Science / a PhD in mathematics, physics or computer science
You have at least 6 years of experience as a Data Scientist (at least 3 years for a PhD)
You have a strong experience related to integration of Machine Learning in a B2C/B2B product used by millions of customers (like marketplaces)
You have excellent analytical skills, involving data analysis and modeling, you are able to modelize complex problems, find the best insights in large datasets and summarize findings in a clear and actionable way
You have a deep knowledge and industry experience in Deep Learning and at least one of the following topics : Computer Vision, Ranking, NLP, Search, Recommendation
You have an excellent coding skills in Python and SQL in order to develop POCs then work on their industrialization and integration in the product with Product & Engineering teams
Strong knowledge about Data Science industrialization (ML Engineering) and MLops best practices
Experience with AWS is a nice to have

The Group Data Protection Officer relies on a network of Data Protection Correspondents in the Regions, Lines of Business and Functions.
