Job Title: Service Support Engineer
Location: Heathrow, GB
Duration: 12 months (possible extension)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Rate: £41.28 per hour
IR35 Status: Inside IR35
Start Date: ASAP

Role Overview:
ARM are seeking an experienced Service Support Engineer to join a Service Delivery Support team working at Heathrow Airport. You will be responsible for maintaining and supporting systems including CCTV, ANPR, Radar, and Bodyworn Cameras, ensuring both hardware and software are operating efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
Support edge devices (e.g., cameras, sensors) and back-end applications (e.g., Genetec, CitySync) on-site and remotely.
Perform planned and corrective maintenance, ensuring service level agreements are met.
Provide 24/7 on-call support.
Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders for seamless delivery and coordination.
Produce reports and maintain project documentation.
Represent IT interests in project meetings.

Key Qualifications:
Experience with CCTV VMS systems (Genetec preferred).
Knowledge of CCTV, ANPR, Radar, and IT Security or Networking.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Minimum 2 years’ operational experience in IT/Network/Engineering.
Experience with LAN, wireless technologies, and enterprise telecoms preferred.
Formal education to C&G, HNC, or A-level standard.
Proficient in MS Project, Visio, Excel, and Word.

You will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability of our platforms. As part of our [SRE/Platform/Infrastructure] team, you will collaborate with software engineers, security teams, and product teams to enable seamless deployments, automation, and reliability best practices. Key Responsibilities Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Design and maintain cloud infrastructure using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi. CI/CD Pipelines: Build and manage deployment pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or ArgoCD. Cloud Management: Deploy and maintain cloud services on AWS/GCP/Azure with a focus on security, scalability, and cost optimization. Containerization & Orchestration: Develop and manage Kubernetes clusters, Docker containers, and Helm charts. Monitoring & Observability: Implement monitoring and alerting solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, New Relic, or similar. Strong experience leading highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure designs. Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes internals, operators, service meshes, and multi-cluster management. Strong knowledge of networking, security, and compliance in cloud environments. Experience in designing and implementing observability and incident response frameworks. Ability to mentor and coach junior engineers while advocating best practices. Experience in cost optimization and FinOps strategies for cloud infrastructure. Additional for Senior Level: Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.
