The Company:
Here at Lorien we're working in close partnership with an organisation operating in the sports industry. After a successful couple of years, they've been redeveloping their platform technology to deliver enhanced online services to clients. And with further ambition in 2025 they're looking to add a DevOps Engineer to their Platform Engineering Team.
The Role:
Your responsibility will primarily be to operate as a shared service across the businesses various functions including Development, QA, and Data. Ensuring the uptime and reliability of the cloud infrastructure and business systems.
Upcoming projects cover optimisation of the cloud platforms, creating bespoke tools and delivering a highly available, efficient platform for the business to trade with. There's also exciting international development planned, giving to exposure to working in emerging international markets.
The Skill Requirements:
We're looking for candidates who understand some of the following:
Solid understanding of Operating Systems from both Windows and Linux platforms
Good knowledge of managing AWS hosted platforms and services (EC2, S3)
Excellent knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform)
Solid Configuration Management experience (Ansible/Puppet/etc.)
Good understanding of Containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes)
Ability to communicate effectively across various teams, with internal and external stakeholders
