One of our most prestigious clients currently has an exciting opportunity within their frequently growing organisation for a Senior Electronic Engineer. Role & Responsibilities:
Control the design, development and evaluation, from concept to production for new models making sure they comply with the customer requirements.
Develop test procedures to validate designs. Study EMC & Signal Integrity issues, identify and eliminate design problems before sample stages.
Apply technical expertise to investigate, identify and implement and support countermeasures and improvements to resolve complex issues.
Ensure development builds are according to agreed schedules. Supporting with components and assembly house queries.
Consider new technology to improve and implement new R&D systems/ processes ensuring efficient product development and future improvement to product development

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Degree level qualification in an Engineering based discipline plus 5 years relevant industry experience
High level of experience in Electrical and EMC testing in a design environment and of fault finding to component level
High level of experience of PCB design tools (Zuken CR5000 preferably) & Circuit simulation tools
Highly experienced in designing electronics circuits and taking the design from concept to mass production
Excellent knowledge and experience of electrical and electronic circuit theory

The role will focus on delivering data from tests in support of design release activity or technology advancement of electric vehicle charging infrastructure compatibility. The main activity for this role is to, as part of a team, prepare test facility or test parts with instrumentation which enables measurement of a wide range of charging system signals and variables, both on-board and external to the vehicle. In addition, this role will support the collection of data in a wide range of environments such as in a test facility, on public roads and proving grounds. The key outcome of this role is to help create a modern luxury seamless & stress-free charging experience for our customers. Skills Required: Awareness of existing charging Standards (e.g. CCS / COMBO, DIN 70121 and ISO15118) Experience with IATF16949 or ISO9001 standards and requirements Experience Required: Good communication and negotiation skills Strong organisational and planning skills Eagerness to learn about Electric Vehicle Charging Studying data and reporting of test data.
