Role: Splunk Developer
Contract Inside IR35
Location: London, UK (Hybrid weekly 2 or 3 days onsite)
We are seeking a skilled Splunk Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong Splunk skills, including expertise in managing, analyzing, and visualizing data using the Splunk platform. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining Splunk applications, dashboards, and data integrations to support our organization's operational and analytical needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and deploy Splunk applications, dashboards, and reports.
Create and maintain data models, alerts, and advanced searches within Splunk.
Utilize Splunk's programming capabilities (e.g., SPL, Python) for custom reporting and data manipulation.
Implement Splunk best practices for data ingestion, indexing, and management.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Monitor and optimize Splunk performance, including indexing and query performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data ingestion and Splunk searches.
Stay up to date with Splunk updates, features, and industry best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Splunk Developer or similar role.
Strong proficiency in Splunk, including knowledge of Search Processing Language (SPL).
Experience with data ingestion from various sources (e.g., syslogs, APIs, databases).
Familiarity with Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Cloud platforms.
Understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) and IT Operations Analytics (ITOA).
Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Solid understanding of data analytics, visualization, and reporting principles.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
