Job Title: Technical Artist, Avatar Product
Salary: Up to £109,000 per year

In this role, you’ll collaborate with talented cross-functional teams to create engaging interactions for avatars while developing core technologies for seamless integration across various systems. What You'll Do:
Collaborate with Art, Design, and Engineering teams to develop a Spark-based mobile application for avatars.
Design, implement, and maintain runtime logic in Spark, focusing on performance optimisation.
Develop and maintain art and animation pipelines to facilitate efficient data ingestion.
Provide technical and artistic support by diagnosing and fixing bugs while ensuring best practises in asset creation.
Thrive in a fast-paced environment by collaborating, iterating, and resolving issues effectively with team leads and cross-functional partners.
Minimum Qualifications:
Proven experience with Spark development, including scripting in JavaScript or TypeScript and shader writing in SparkSL.
Experience in real-time game engine development (e.g., Unity, Unreal) and content authoring (modelling, lighting, animation).
A track record of shipping products with rigorous performance constraints, such as complex mobile apps or 3D games.
Proficient in Python, C#, or C++ for complex real-time 3D applications.
Experience in developing artist pipelines and tooling.
A collaborative spirit with experience solving complex problems alongside artists and engineers.
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, Perforce).
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of emerging technologies such as XR, AI, and USD.
Familiarity with parametric 3D content creation and data ingestion pipelines.

Your Day-to-Day:
In this role, you will:
Design avatars, code, and maintain the art pipeline.
Collaborate with product managers and animators to understand data ingestion requirements.
Implement logic and visuals for engaging experiences, such as creating interactive pet features.
Build tools for artists to seamlessly integrate their work into the app.
Are You the One?
If you have sufficient years of experience in Spark, TypeScript/JavaScript, and a solid understanding of Unity or Unreal Engine, we want to hear from you! Additional skills in shaders, C#, or C++ will be a plus.
