A leading financial services institution is seeking an experienced Java Developer to join their Gateway & Acquiring Platform Division. In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining and upgrading their core platform, working on modernizing a Legacy system while helping to establish a microservice architecture. You'll also contribute to the enhancement and expansion of existing solutions.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing area of the business that has received significant investment and has ambitious plans for further expansion and platform improvements throughout the year.

To be successful in this role, you would need the following:

Strong hands-on experience with Java development (including REST APIs and Microservices)
Proven track record in delivering microservice architectures, ideally within enterprise-scale applications or services
Familiarity with modern testing practices, including unit testing and automation
Experience with JBoss is highly desirable
Prior experience working with Oracle databases would be beneficial

The role would be offering a hybrid working model, but would need you to travel into their offices in Fleet on Tuesday and Thursday, every week.
