Inside IR35 Contract PHP Developer (Laravel)
Location: Hybrid / Preston
⏳ Duration: 6 Months
Day Rate: Negotiable / Inside IR35
Start Date: TBC
We’re looking for a Contract PHP Developer with strong Laravel experience to join an exciting project with a new client of ours. This role falls Inside IR35, meaning you’ll be engaged via an umbrella company.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain high-quality web applications using PHP and Laravel
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and scalable solutions
Work with RESTful APIs, databases, and cloud-based technologies
Troubleshoot and optimize application performance
Follow best coding practices and contribute to architectural decisions
Key Skills & Experience:
Proven experience as a PHP Developer in a commercial setting
Strong expertise in Laravel (latest versions preferred)
Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or other relational databases
Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js/React is a plus)
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Understanding of TDD, SOLID principles, and clean coding standards is ideal

- DevOps Onboarding Engineer – Central London We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Onboarding Engineer to join our banking client's Core Platform Engineering team in Central London. In this role, you will be responsible for helping new users get up to speed with our core platform engineering tools and AI products. This is a full-time, on-site contract role starting ASAP and running until the end of 2025. Role Overview As a DevOps Onboarding Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring that new users are able to effectively use our engineering tools and AI products. You’ll provide training and support, troubleshoot issues, and create helpful resources to make the onboarding process as smooth as possible. Key Responsibilities: Facilitate the onboarding process for new users, ensuring they understand how to use our core platform engineering toolsets and AI products. Provide training and ongoing support to users, particularly around DevOps processes and GitLab CI/CD workflows. Collaborate with product management, engineering, and support teams to address user needs and improve the onboarding experience. Develop and maintain documentation, tutorials, and other resources to assist users. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to onboarding and product usage, escalating where necessary. Collect user feedback to drive product improvements. Required Skills and Experience: Strong knowledge of DevOps processes and best practices. Experience with GitLab CI/CD workflows is essential. Cloud experience is required, preferably with Microsoft Azure. Proficiency in Java programming. Excellent communication skills – able to explain technical concepts to non-technical users. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team. Previous experience in a similar onboarding or enablement role is preferred.
