About The Role
FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Cyber Security Manager to work for our client within the private sector. This is initially a 12-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a fully onsite role that will be based in Brighton.

As a Cyber Security Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating your efforts to protect digital assets, information systems and networks from cyber threats. This will involve a mix of strategic planning, leadership and technical expertise to ensure that security measures are properly implemented and followed.
You must be proactive, result oriented, structured, and able to operate under pressure in a changing environment.

Responsibilities
Develop and implement a robust, company-wide information security strategy
Proactively identifying and mitigating risks
Optimising existing tools and integrating advanced technologies, you will ensure the highest level of data protection against loss, manipulation, breaches, leaks, and malicious encryption
Strategy to be tailored to the company’s many different roles, systems, and departments, ensuring seamless security integration across all operations
Lead a team of cybersecurity professionals, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement
Respond to and investigate security incidents, ensuring timely resolution and root cause analysis

Requirements
5 years’ experience in Cyber Security
Strong knowledge and experience in information security and cyber security, threat analysis, risk management & compliance
Expertise in security frameworks (including NIST)
Ability to effectively and constructively check and challenge
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Strong understanding of network protocols, encryption methods, and cyber-attack vectors
Experience with regulatory compliance such as GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS
Passion for staying ahead of cyber threats
