We are looking for a Business Analyst for a freelance project in Brussels, BE. The position is Full-Time (5 days p/week) and hybrid over an initial duration of 11 Months, plus a high likelihood of extensions.

Contractual Details
Location: Brussels, BE (50% onsite / 50% WFH)

Languages: French OR Dutch Fluency (with understanding of the other national language) + English fluency

About the Role:
We are seeking a full-time Business Analyst to join our team, focusing primarily on pharmaceutical prescriptions within a dynamic and evolving healthcare environment. This is a replacement position. The ideal candidate will be adept at gathering business needs and bottlenecks from healthcare providers and patients, translating them into actionable requirements for digital applications. A strong interest in IT and IT applications is essential.

Responsibilities:
Business Analysis (90%):
Elicit business information from stakeholders (healthcare providers, patients, internal teams) through meetings, literature reviews, and consultations.
Develop business analyses and prioritize needs for upcoming periods.
Design solutions for specific workflows, translating business needs into "to be" process flows.
Validate digital solutions developed by the development team through agile sprints, acting as product owner.
Contribute to the business helpdesk to identify and address user needs.
Develop quarterly KPIs based on established procedures.
Build and maintain a network of business stakeholders to proactively identify needs, organizing ad-hoc consultations.
Attend relevant healthcare seminars and events.
Communication & Training (10%):
Develop communication materials (texts) for working groups, collaborating with a dedicated visualization expert.
Create training presentations for end-users based on validated texts.

Required Expertise:
Business Perspective: Proven ability to think from the perspective of healthcare providers and patients, analysing their needs and translating them into practical solutions.
Business Analysis Expertise:
Minimum 2 years of experience documenting business information through stakeholder consultations.
Experience describing business use cases.
Minimum 2 years of experience with business analysis techniques (process flows, information flows).
Ability to document existing systems.
Domain Expertise:
Strong understanding of the healthcare landscape, including the ability to identify needs and bottlenecks.
Knowledge of healthcare, preferably gained through education (and internships/work experience).
Experience with digital flows in healthcare, including e-Health, or within a highly regulated sector.
Ideally, experience in the healthcare and IT sector from a business perspective (no developer or functional analyst experience).
General Expertise:
Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills to develop "as is" and "to be" process flows based on user interviews.
Ability to empathize with end-users and translate their needs into requirements for digital applications.
Experience working in an environment with objectives and deadlines.
Experience working with diverse (external) stakeholders.
Proven experience in projects requiring strong analytical thinking from a business perspective (healthcare).
Knowledge of data structuring and analysis tools (e.g., JIRA) is a plus.
