Hybrid role: 2–3 days on-site per week
About the Role
Blackfield Associates is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to lead PCS7 elements of a full-cycle brownfield project with one of our cell therapy biologics clients in Brussels, Belgium. This role requires project expertise in PCS7 within Batch S88 standard environments, a strong understanding of pharmaceutical/biotech cGMP/GAMP regulations, and fluency in both French and English.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement automation strategies aligned with project needs
Ensure compliance with cGMP, GAMP, GLP, and other regulatory standards
Lead automation deliverables within detailed design, execution, and CQV phases
Interpret and implement P&IDs and PFDs for process automation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, QA, and CQV
Manage supplier deliverables, ensuring quality and adherence to project timelines
Qualifications & Experience
Proven track record in pharmaceutical automation & engineering project environments
Expertise in bioprocess automation (USP, DSP)
Strong experience with PCS7 (Batch preferred)
Knowledge of cGMP, regulatory requirements, and validation processes
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
