Job Description
E&I Lead / Subject Matter Expert (SME) | Northern Ireland | Multi-year Contract Role
(This is an on-site role located close to Belfast)

Job Specification: E&I Project Engineer (Senior / Lead Level)
Type: 12-month contract minimum, extension expected
Start Date: Q1 2025
Location: Northern Ireland

The Role
Blackfield Associates are currently seeking a vastly experienced E&I Engineer to support the successful completion of an ongoing API construction project in Northern Ireland. In this role, the candidate will be joining an established team with end-to-end project responsibilities, joining partly through design phases to deliver through execution to handover.

Key Responsibilities
Act as the E&I Subject Matter Expert / Lead, overseeing design and construction activities, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
Review and validate documentation from the design contractor on-site.
Manage electrical design elements, including ATEX and CompEx compliance.
Conduct I/O testing, ensuring high-quality installation and operational performance.
Provide input on remaining design needs, installation processes, and commissioning phases.

Your Profile
Deep experience in Electrical & Instrumentation within API pharmaceutical or related chemical (COMAH) ATEX / DSEAR environments.
Proven track record for end-to-end delivery of complex, high-stakes projects.
CompEx certified or equivalent.
Background in ATEX, DSEAR or COMAH regulatory standards.
High performance in a construction setting, particularly within regulated industries.
