We are seeking an experienced full time Generalist Data Warehouse Developer to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of data warehouse tools, technologies, and methodologies, and will be able to work independently to design, develop, and maintain effective data warehouse solutions.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements
• Design and develop efficient data warehouse solutions using industry-standard tools and technologies
• Create ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources
• Develop data models & schemas to support business intelligence and reporting needs
• Monitor and optimize performance of data warehouse environments
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and user guides
• Troubleshoot and resolve data integration and data quality issues
• Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in data warehousing and business intelligence
• Play a crucial role in pushing our existing Data Warehouse solutions to the next level.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in data warehousing, ETL development, and BI
• Knowledge of SQL Server, Oracle, and other database platforms
• General experience with ETL tools such as Informatica Power Center or Informatica Cloud.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts such as star schema, snowflake schema, and dimensional modeling
• Proficiency in SQL is a must, further scripting languages such as Python is a plus
• Knowledge of BI tool such as: SAP BO, QlikSense, Tableau or Quicksight
• Ideally first experience with cloud-based data warehousing (e.g. Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery)
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and software development lifecycle
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Fluently in Dutch and English
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented
• Experience in the financial and automotive sector is a plus
