WORK ENVIRONMENT

Fujitsu is looking for a Manager Service Operation - CONFIGURATION & ASSET MANAGER for our client an EU Institutions in Brussels.

Freelancer contracts offered.

Certifications required:

ITIL V3 Foundation, ITIL Service Lifecycle or ITIL Service Capability Modules (V3) (or be in an advanced stage of acquiring such certification).
Alternatively: Practitioner Level certifications (V2 or V3).



DESCRIPTION OF TASKS

Configuration & Asset Manager will :
Monitors the performance and capacity of existing asset and configuration management systems (CM) and recommends improvement opportunities and undertakes standard housekeeping and fine tuning under change control
Ensures the integrity and operational performance of the CM systems
Perform day to day activities :
Track, control and report status of all software and infrastructure configuration item changes including software License compliancy in order to minimize the number of quality and compliance issues caused by incorrect or inaccurate configuration of services and assets
Responsible of the asset inventory maintenance. He/She will through the Configuration management ensures that selected components of a service, system or product (the configuration) are identified, base lined and maintained and that changes to them are controlled.
Responsible to initiate discussions between Change Management, CI owner groups and Release management to resolve data and process issues affecting the CI quality of Hardware or Application in the CMDB.
Facilitate the CI "Service" creation and maintenance. This include interaction with the client IT organization (Service Owners Multi-Channel / CI Owners) in order to define the functional CI relationship
Anticipate the life cycle management of CI Class and pro-actively propose Hardware / Software renewal in order to avoid Vendor support model issue and ensure the IT service continuity (stable IT environment for our End users)
Participate to Audit compliancy and perform Configuration item inventory reconciliation process
Report monthly activities related to Configuration Items / CMDB and conduct analysis in order to contribute to the continuous service improvement plan

Advise on the governance of the Configuration and Asset management process (as process Manager)
Contribute to the design, responsible of the implementation, evaluate and improve the CAM process - including related procedures/work instructions/guidelines, training materials, supporting tools
CMDB Lifecycle management reporting & analysis
Contribute to the Continual Service Improvement plan
SPOC for any Asset & Configuration Management service request
