We are looking for a Principal Devops Engineer to join network systems team in order to enhance the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of network system operations within the organization.
We are seeking someone with 10+ years experience overall and 5+ years in Network/Systems projects.
Interview to take place this week, start date 20th January

Job Description:
Design and implement automated provisioning, configuration, and deployment for Linux and Windows environments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Ansible, Terraform, or PowerShell DSC.
Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline system updates, patches, and deployments.
Deploy and manage monitoring tools such as Elastic, SolarWinds, or Zabbix for proactive system monitoring.
Implement security best practices, including automated vulnerability scans, patch management, and access controls.
Work closely with system administrators and IT operations teams to identify and resolve system-related issues.
Provide expertise in integrating DevOps principles into system operations workflows.
Develop and implement high-availability and disaster recovery solutions for critical systems.
Automate backup and restoration processes for Linux and Windows servers.
Document all workflows, configurations, and automated processes for future reference.
Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions to train team members on DevOps tools and practices.
Identify areas of improvement within the systems environment and propose innovative solutions.
Stay updated on emerging DevOps tools and technologies and implement them as needed.
Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure (eg, AWS, Azure, GCP) for performance and cost efficiency.
Analyze performance metrics to optimize system performance and resource utilization.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability.
Implement configuration management policies for consistent server setups. Automate and apply security patches and updates to the operating system & applications.
Own & deliver systems related projects using project management methodologies.
Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or GitHub Actions.
Automate build, test, and deployment workflows to accelerate software delivery.
Troubleshoot and optimize pipelines for performance and reliability.
Develop and maintain a consistent and scalable systems security posture based on best practices.
Good Understanding of the ITSM process and principles.
Monitor server health, application performance, and network metrics.
Implement alerting and logging systems (eg, ELK stack, Splunk) to ensure timely incident responses. Participate in out of hours migration/changes required time to time. Perform night migration work for system maintenance, ensuring minimal impact on operations.
Integrate and standardise the existing systems.
Troubleshoot any systems related issue.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of systems. Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior team members.
