Senior QA Engineer - London/Remote
This is a part time contract position, and you will be expected to work 2 days a week for an initial duration of 4 months, with some occasional visits to their London Bridge based offices.
£450 - £500 per day OUTSIDE IR35
A key aspect of this role is to perform in-depth QA testing during each release, ensuring the highest quality of their output. The role will focus on setting up both manual and automated testing frameworks while defining best practices.
Responsibilities for the Senior QA Engineer:
Design and Implement QA Processes:
Develop a tailored QA process specific to their ERP system, including both the Microsoft Access Front End and SQL Back End.
Establish a structured framework for both automated and manual testing, ensuring thorough coverage of functionality, performance, and system integration.
Test Script Development and Execution for the Senior QA Engineer:
Write and review detailed test scripts, test cases, and scenarios to ensure comprehensive testing, including regression, functional, and performance tests.
Collaborate closely with the development team to identify areas requiring testing and ensure adherence to QA standards.
Tool Selection and Implementation
Performance and Load Testing
QA Metrics and Reporting
Ongoing Support and Follow-up
Key Requirements:
Proven experience as a Senior QA Engineer, with at least 3 years of experience in setting up QA frameworks and processes for complex systems.
Expertise in Microsoft Access and SQL Server testing environments.
Strong experience in implementing automated and manual test frameworks.
Ability to guide and mentor teams in establishing long-term QA solutions.
Notes on the setup:
Over a number of years my client has built a bespoke ERP system that operates with a Microsoft Access Front End and a SQL Server Back End. The system is also connected to a CRM system and to a reporting portal. Currently, they have a dedicated small development team, and seek an experienced Senior QA Engineer to establish a comprehensive QA infrastructure for their development environment.
