Robert Half is recruiting an experienced data engineer for a London-based financial service organisation. This is an initial 9-month contract with the potential for extension.
Responsibilities:
We are seeking a Data Engineering Lead to drive data migration and ETL processes for high-quality, seamless data integration. This role will support data management, maintain our Snowflake data warehouse, and lead automation and transformation efforts.
Execute data migration and integration, ensuring data quality and integrity.
Design and optimise ETL processes to streamline data workflows from diverse sources.
Manage and scale Snowflake data warehousing for resilient, long-term reporting.
Collaborate with business teams on data management and resolve data quality issues.
Develop Python scripts and automated pipelines for efficient data processes.
Ensure data validation and testing to maintain high standards.
Mentor team members in best practices for ETL, warehousing, and data engineering.
Experience:
Strong experience in full data lifecycle: ETL, cleansing, testing, and validation.
Proficiency in Python for data engineering and automation.
Experience with FiveTran: Utilised for dat cleaning and mitigation
Solid knowledge of Snowflake and data warehousing architecture.
Understanding of data governance, quality standards, and BI tools.
Background in financial lending data management is preferred.
Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail and reliability.
