As a Lead Software Developer, you will be responsible for leading a talented team of engineers in the design, development, and maintenance of a variety of software systems, from modern web applications and data platforms to cloud infrastructure. This is a key leadership role where you’ll help drive the technical vision of the company and play a central role in shaping their future growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, motivate, and mentor a high-performing software engineering team
Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software projects, ensuring high-quality results
Develop and communicate the team’s technical route, aligning it with business objectives
Maintain and ensure the ongoing support of current software systems
This position is based in their Manchester office, with the flexibility to work remotely two days per week.
Role Requirements:
Previous experience as a software engineer, with at least 1year in a technical leadership or team lead role
A passion to help members of the team grow both technically and professionally
Experience working in cloud-based environments
Proficiency in working across multiple technologies, including Typescript, JavaScript, PHP, and C#
A proactive attitude with a strong sense of responsibility
Ability to manage time effectively and organize tasks within a team

This would be a full-time role with hybrid working model. Your role will be to design, develop and deploy a range of complex software solutions and optimize system level infrastructure. This will combine SW and systems engineering to build and run large-scale, massively distributed and fault-tolerant systems. Minimum Qualifications: Strong understanding of operating system fundamentals and components.
