Job Title: Cloud Architect - Kubernetes & Containerisation Specialist Location: Croydon (hybrid) Security Clearance: SC Clearance Duration: 12 months Rate: £790 - £850 inside IR35
Role Overview:
This role requires a strong background in AWS services, particularly around Kubernetes (EKS), ECS, and Fargate, coupled with experience in public sector security and compliance frameworks. Your work will directly contribute to enhancing the security, efficiency, and resilience of cloud services.Technical Skills:
AWS Services & Networking: Advanced expertise in core AWS services (EC2, VPC, IAM, Route 53), with an emphasis on secure VPC design, subnetting, and strict IAM policy management.
Kubernetes (EKS): Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, specifically AWS EKS, including in-depth knowledge of cluster management, security policies, and multi-tenant environments.
ECS & Fargate: Proficiency in deploying and managing containerised applications on ECS and Fargate, focusing on load balancing, networking, and microservice architectures.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Demonstrable experience with Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or similar tools to enable infrastructure automation, configuration management, and security by design.
Compliance & Security Controls: Familiarity with public sector compliance frameworks and controls, including GDPR, ISO27001, and NCSC guidelines for secure cloud deployments.
CI/CD & Automation Tools: Experience creating CI/CD pipelines and automating deployment processes for containerised applications with tools like AWS Code Pipeline, Jenkins, and GitLab.
Monitoring & Logging Tools: Knowledge of monitoring and logging solutions suitable for high-security environments, including CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, and centralised logging with ELK.
