Your mission

You will BE the right hand wo.man of the Head of Strategic Communication of the European Medium Duty Business Unit. You will develop a customer-centric culture by communicating up-to-date information about our business, our R&D projects, our manufacturing operations, our initiatives around sustainability and people. Your duty will BE to federate and develop the performance of our 2,400 team members.

Your primary responsibilities will BE to :

Develop and implement dynamic, innovative and engaging internal communication plans
Create all types of relevant content
Produce and edit videos : interviews, teasers, after movies
Create graphics : infographics, posters, roll-ups, PPT presentations
Write articles for the Volvo Group intranet, Business Unit portal (SharePoint), local newsletters : collection of technical information, interviews, writing, document synthesis and translations.
Coordinate the site's TV content.
Manage communication projects and events
Participate actively to communication networks with Volvo Group professionals

Your profile

You are a Master student in Communication (IAE, communication schools, management schools), looking for a 2-year apprenticeship contract.

You easily build relationships with all your interlocutors; you know how to take initiatives and are proactive.

You master oral, written, visual, multimedia and event communication techniques. You have mandatory skills in video shooting, editing and post-production and you master Office 365 tools and creative software (Indesign, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop). Knowledge of After Effect is nice to have for motion design.

Your sensitivity and knowledge of new technologies and digital communication will, indeed, BE a guarantee of your success.

Our department, Combustion and Exhaust AfterTreatment System (EATS), is responsible for the global platform development of combustion and EATS systems for Volvo Group's products around the world.

We develop hardware as well as the features and functionalities. We are accountable for the lifecycle management of our products, from advanced engineering, through product development into the maintenance phase.

Your tasks, BE brave, will BE to :

Work together with an embedded software engineer within a combustion team
Develop Virtual Sensors using neural network algorithm.
Develop simulation models combustion & After-treatment systems on MATLAB/SIMULINK
Develop control strategies and embedded software using Model Based Development process
Evaluate Control strategies performances based on Model-In-The-Loop and Software-In-The-Loop validation environments
Capture and share knowledge with other sites
Adapt yourself to changes and develop performance continuously
Propose solutions to improve our system and way of working

Our perfect apprentice profile is (because we have to BE serious as well) :

Engineer with specialization in modeling of physical systems and control theory
Knowledge on thermodynamics and engine combustion process
Good practice of MATLAB/SIMULINK
Interest for Model Based SW Development process and neural networks
Organized, rigorous, synthetic, autonomous and love working as a team
Daily work with other locations over the world makes English a must

Description de la mission :

Au sein de l'équipe Achats Investissements, l'apprenti(e) aura pour mission le support aux acheteurs projets pour les achats d'équipements de production au sein du Groupe Volvo. Les principaux interlocuteurs techniques appartiennent aux services Group Trucks Operations et Group Trucks Technology.

L'activité quotidienne de l'apprenti(e) sera le support aux projets d'investissements pour les sites français du Groupe ainsi que la collaboration à des projets internationaux en support de l'équipe Achats internationale.

Nous recherchons une personnalité particulièrement énergique, ouverte d'esprit et volontaire pour participer aux changements majeurs générés par l'apparition de nouvelles technologies et des problématiques environnementales.

Principales missions :

Construire puis entretenir des relations de confiance avec nos interlocuteurs techniques
Conseiller nos partenaires internes tout au long de leurs projets d'investissements en respectant le processus achat
Conduire des projets d'amélioration continue dans la collaboration acheteur/prescripteur
Développer un panel fournisseur conforme aux besoins des usines
Construire puis entretenir des relations commerciales à valeur ajoutée avec les fournisseurs
Mener des projets d'achats d'investissements en accord avec la stratégie du Groupe
Mener des négociations commerciales et contractuelles
