About the Role
As a member of Verian’s technology leadership team, the IT Operations Manager will develop, implement, and maintain strategies to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of IT services that support business outcomes across 14 countries. This role oversees managed service providers and manages a team of IT Business Partners. The role works closely with key stakeholders across the Verian organization, such as our core functional teams for Finance and People, Country Management, Vendor Managers, Project Managers, and the Field Service Desk for contingent workers.

Responsibilities

Strategy & Governance
Develop an effective understanding of Verian’s business direction, strategies, priorities, opportunities, and operational challenges.
Design, implement, and maintain Verian’s IT Operations Strategy, standards, methods, and policies across the group, aligned to the overall business strategies.
Develop business understanding and classification of high-value/business-critical information assets and plan their protection.
Ensure that the Group implements compliant and consistent IT operations standards across the solutions and services it delivers into Verian.
Assess the operational implications and compliance levels of Verian’s partners and suppliers at a group level, and provide specialist input as needed divisionally.

Stakeholder Management
Build strong relationships within the business and across the technology organisation to develop Verian’s understanding of IT operations-related business risks.
Oversee managed service providers and maintain strong business relationships.
Oversee vendor management functions and ensure effective relationships with technology vendors.

Operational Management
Develop and implement IT operations strategies that align with overall business goals in a fully outsourced global environment.
Ensure the effective and efficient delivery of IT services to support business outcomes.
Oversee the management of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and applications.
Ensure the availability, performance, and security of IT systems and services.
Manage IT budgets and ensure cost-effective delivery of IT services.

Skills / Experience
Proven experience in IT operations management, preferably in a global or multi-national environment.
Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networks, servers, and applications.
Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Ability to develop and implement IT operations strategies that align with business goals.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
