Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Head of Process Development and Manufacturing (multi-site), based in Strasbourg. The purpose of this role is to lead and manage the strategic and operational performance of the Process Development & Manufacturing functions across the Lyon and Strasbourg sites to ensure client satisfaction through high quality, safe, compliant, timely and efficient delivery of their PD & manufacturing and technical transfer requirements.
The role works as a key member of the France Site Leadership team to deliver a high quality, efficient, client-centric service, with a focus on delivery. The French Site Operations Leadership team works closely together to overcome challenges and manage resources according to specific needs of the business.

Your responsibilities in this role would be:

Key member and influencer of the France Site leadership Team
Leading and inspiring a team of professionals, developing capability and competency within the team and ensuring effective management processes are in place to manage and recognise performance.
Budgetary control, working alongside the Procurement Team to drive savings and improved cost control
Support the development of a viral vector-based therapies at early or late stage, by providing guidance into project teams, and by leading the UK teams performing client process development work
Ensure the PD team is set up for operational efficiency in the delivery of process development projects
Ensure the PD team has appropriate capabilities for study execution, data review, providing SMEs for project / programme design and to make the right decisions for process development projects in support of clients.
Work with the Global M-Sat & Tech excellence to ensure ‘best in class’ delivery of process development capabilities for clients in the France site, and to support initiatives in terms of new capabilities across the wider (global) OXB organisation
Promoting a culture of integrity of process, procedure and behaviour at the core of Company activity across the function
Implement site, regulatory and corporate guidelines, policies, procedures and industry standards to ensure ongoing compliance of the team activities.
Define the departmental structure ensuring optimal resources are in place for the cost-effective delivery of requirements.
Set individual & team objectives, and performance manage to ensure ownership and delivery
On time / in full delivery of customer manufacturing / technical transfer requirements
Defines and implements manufacturing Key Performance Indicators.
Designated responsible person on the Sites GMP licences.

We are looking for:

Degree level qualified in a scientific or technical discipline, with knowledge of manufacturing within a GMP environment, including experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry is essential.
Management experience in a highly regulated environment, ideally strong knowledge of GMP manufacturing.
Competent at using data to drive decision making.
Performance and change management experience.
Competence in evaluating safety, quality and project risk.
Knowledge of the financial aspects of budget control.
Demonstrates excellent judgment, mental agility and problem-solving skills, uses commercial acumen, strategic and big picture thinking.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make informed decisions to manage risks to OXB as a quality and innovation-led CDMO, whilst maximising delivery for clients.
Instils a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
An individual with excellent enterprise leadership capabilities and behaviours, actively building excellent working relationships across OXB to ensure communication between departments
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make informed decisions to manage risks to OXB as a quality and innovation-led CDMO, whilst maximising delivery for clients.
