What We Need

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Games Industry professional to lead and manage game development across the studio. As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) the ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the gaming industry, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for creating engaging and innovative gaming experiences. As Senior Director of Game Development, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire game development process, from concept to release, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will oversee the studio's key development disciplines, setting goals and expectations across Design, Art, Audio, Technology, Cinematics and Mocap.

Providing leadership for talented and experienced discipline directors, you will be experienced in leading senior people to ensure that all aspects of our games are aligned with the company's vision and goals. Additionally, you will be responsible for staying up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and for fostering a creative and collaborative work environment. You will have a proven track record of successful game development and a passion for titles that offer a cinematic and narrative driven experience.

What You'll Be Doing

Oversee the game development process from concept to release.
Lead, manage and guide senior members of staff across all key disciplines.
Working with Executive Producers, to ensure all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Collaborate with various departments to ensure alignment with the company's vision and goals.
Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies, ensuring the studio benefits from those insights.
In conjunction with other members of the ELT, foster a creative and collaborative work environment.
Develop and implement project and resource plans, schedules, and budgets.
Monitor and report on project progress and performance.
Identify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact project success.
Build strong relationships with our publisher and parent company, 2K, to ensure a powerful partnership.
Provide mentorship and guidance to team members.
Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
Manage relationships with external partners and stakeholders.
Coordinate and lead meetings and presentations.
Ensure effective communication and collaboration across all departments.
Develop and maintain project documentation and records.
Evaluate and implement new tools and technologies to improve the development process.
Ensure the quality and consistency of all game content.
Drive innovation and creativity in game design and development.

What We Need

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in the games industry! In this varied and impactful entry level role you will be supporting the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), including our Studio President, with administrative tasks such as processing expenses and scheduling meetings. You will also be making a great first impression as you greet visitors at reception and support workplace operations by ensuring the kitchens remain stocked with nibbles and snacks to fuel our team.

Reporting directly to a member of the ELT, this role would be ideal for an aspiring Executive Assistant as there is scope for the role to evolve over time. You will need to be a confident communicator who is great with people and your positive energy will be infectious. With an eye for detail, you will be a great planner, well organised, punctual and enjoy getting stuff done.

What You'll Be Doing:

Provide administrative support for the ELT, this may include processing expenses, booking travel & accommodation, scheduling and compiling meeting agendas, managing calendars and general tasks as needed.
Working on reception you will be the first person to greet visitors, making a great first impression.
Keep the reception area tidy and free of clutter - always looking its best.
Taking deliveries and alerting recipients to their arrival for collection.
Stocking our kitchens with snacks, drinks and other goodies, fuelling our team!
General workplace tasks as required to support the wider operations team.

What We're Looking For:

You will have at least 1 – 2 years relevant work experience and be comfortable working with people of all seniorities.
Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders across diverse cultural backgrounds.
Good IT skills and comfortable using outlook, word, google docs and concur.
Attention to detail and discretion when handling sensitive information, understanding the importance of data security and privacy in a creative industry.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to accommodate changing priorities and work demands in a dynamic studio environment.
A passion for gaming and some knowledge of the industry highly sought after!
