Role Overview

The Sustainability Data Analyst will play a critical role in enabling us to meet our client, business and investor sustainability reporting requirements whilst helping to deliver continual improvement on our performance. This position will focus on collecting and analysing data related to, energy efficiency, carbon emissions, waste production, material use, social value and other environmental and social impacts across the OCU Group.

Duties And Responsibilities

Gather, organise, and analyse data related to energy consumption, waste management, carbon emissions, water usage, social value and other sustainability metrics across OCU Group.
Work with the Data, SHEQ, IT, HR, Procurement and operational teams to identify sources of data and set up system to capture the data needed
Develop reports on environmental performance and sustainability metrics from a contract level through to Group level ensuring client and business requirements are address.
Leverage data analysis tools, sustainability software, and business intelligence platforms to monitor sustainability performance and drive insights.
Present data and reports in an easily understandable and visual way to highlight concerns and opportunities for improvement.
Assist in developing ‘one source of the truth’ for all sustainability data to ensure transparency and consistency in reporting
Assist the Waste Manager on reporting on waste performance and duty of care compliance.
Assist in preparing annual sustainability reports and disclosures for stakeholders, such as investors, clients, and regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance with sustainability standards and frameworks.
Track and evaluate the company’s ESG performance in line with external reporting standards such as EcoVadis, and investor KPIs.
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and timeliness. Conduct audits and verification of sustainability data to ensure integrity and compliance.
Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to improve sustainability performance. Track progress of key initiatives aligned to the Sustainability Strategy such as waste reduction, carbon reduction and social value efforts.

Skills And Experience

Strong, previous experience in data analysis and reporting, preferably within sustainability in the construction, infrastructure or utilities industry
Relevant degree or other qualifications in data analysis or sustainability are desirable
Proficient in data analysis software
Knowledge of sustainability metrics and industry standards for energy management, waste reduction, and carbon emissions.
Experience with ESG reporting frameworks such as CDP, EcoVadis, TCFD preferable
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage large data sets and identify patterns, trends, and anomalies.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to develop solutions based on data insights.
Ability to clearly communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across different teams and departments to achieve sustainability goals.

Telecoms Engineer (CIS)

Role Overview

We are looking to engage experienced Telecoms Engineers (recognised internally as Residential Field Technicians) to cover our residential cabling works in the Midlands region. These are CIS subcontractor roles, and the main responsibilities will be the installation of cables, sub duct and blown fibre tubing into ducts, cabs and premises.

Duties And Responsibilities

HFC (hybrid fibre coax) pre-enablement, rodding, roping and pulling copper cables to customers properties through local underground networks, carrying out garden works
FTTP (Fibre to the premises) / PIA (Physical Infrastructure Access) pre-enablement, installation of micro ducts and fibre blowing, pulling fibre from the cab to property using local underground networks, carrying out garden work
Test, rodding and roping of underground ducts
Fibre blowing on both local and trunk networks
Install fibre connections to customer properties
Overhead fibre PIA – spanning sterlite fibre from pole networks to the customers property
Working at heights, pole climbing, using MEWP (mobile elevated working platforms)
Performing tests and quality checks to ensure the proper functioning
Completion and submission of all necessary documentation
Compliance with all Health, Safety & Environmental policies

Skills And Experience

Full UK driving licence with a minimum of 2 years driving experience (essential)
NRSWA (New Roads & Streetworks) qualification (essential)
SA001 & SA002 - underground/overhead Safety qualification (essential)
PIA7/PIA8 - underground/overhead cable and sub duct installation qualification (essential)
K009 - Rodding and Roping (essential)
Results oriented, whilst maintaining ability to meet strict quality standards[EC1]
High level of customer service for both internal and external stakeholders
Trustworthy and ethical approach, exercising discretion where required
Self-starter who has the ability to prioritise a varied workload and demonstrate good time management to comply with deadlines
