So, what’s the role all about?
We are looking for a very high-performing Lead DevOps Engineer to join our growing team of highly skilled engineers working on a variety of applications and services to support our omni-channel, interactive communication platform. The role will be based in our London office 2 days per week, and remote working the remaining 3 days. The role will work closely with DevOps team members based in the US, UK and India, and form part of a follow-the-sun support escalation model for infrastructure issues.
How will you make an impact?
Work on the technical design, development, release and deployment of cloud-based infrastructure, automation, and applications
Working with, and supporting, the development team with application configuration for deployment, monitoring and other automation
Provide operational management and support of Linux and Windows servers and containers, including server hardening, patching, network security and log management to deliver web application and service stacks
Work with the DevOps Manager and Information Security team members to ensure that our infrastructure meets compliance requirements and engineering best practices
Mentor other more junior team members when required
Provide on-call/out-of-hours support, as part of a rota with other team members
Knowledge/Experience
Required
5+ years of experience working with AWS infrastructure
5+ years of experience working with Linux and Windows servers
3+ years experience working with Kubernetes, Helm, and the related DevOps toolchain in a production environment (not just a test environment)
3+ years experience using Terraform or similar tools to provision infrastructure from code
Experience with Bash shell scripting
Ability to conduct detailed code reviews against Helm and IaC
A Security first approach
Nice to have, but not essential
Experience maintaining ISO 27001 compliance (or equivalent security standard)
Familiarity working with various CI/CD solutions – for example, Azure DevOps, GitLab, GitHub actions, TeamCity, Octopus Deploy
Experience working with and tuning Microservices at scale, with production workloads
Experience managing relational and non-relational databases, for example, RDS MySQL, RedShift
Familiarity with any of the following logging, monitoring and alerting tools – CloudWatch, Splunk, StatusCake, Grafana, PagerDuty
Scripting experience with PowerShell, Ruby, Python
Experience working with Agile software development teams

So, what’s the role all about?
We are looking for a Cloud Information Security Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team. This role is responsible for supporting systems hosted in our Private Cloud and performing system administrative functions such as patch management, trouble-shooting hardware, application and OS issues, and deploying customer environments using Windows Server and Linux in a highly secure service provider environment.
How will you make an impact?
Stage and deploy Windows OS images on servers.
Perform routine system patching and general administration on Windows and Linux servers.
Provide Level 3 technical support for systems related issues.
Provide Level 1 technical support for security related issues.
Familiar with Systems Management software especially BigFix.
Strong server hardware and software troubleshooting skills from various vendors (i.e. Dell, Lenovo, HP, Microsoft, Redhat, etc.).
Maintain currency with an IT asset management system.
Active Directory administration.

BS/BA in computer science or information systems.
Minimum 4 years system administration experience in a Windows server environment.
Knowledge of scripting with Windows Power Shell or other current scripting languages.

Good understanding of computer systems characteristics, features, and integration capabilities.

The DevOps Engineer works as an integrated part of a software engineering team with specific focus on facilitating and building automated pipelines for continuous delivery of the team's deliverables with guaranteed production-level quality and supportability.

Defining and developing continuous integration and deployment pipelines
Building Infrastructure as Code
Coordinating build and release activities with other stakeholders
Managing day to day operations of release pipelines, build tools, and source control software and resources
Troubleshooting & responding to downtime, performance degradation and outside attacks
Performing ongoing maintenance and upgrades of DevOps systems (Production & non-production)

1-3 years of experience as a contributor on a software development team

So, what’s the role all about?
This is a rare opportunity to work with an innovative product launching in an area new to cloud services.
Primary focus is deploying, maintaining and supporting state of the art cloud deployed solutions for digital evidence management for Public Safety (Primary Law Enforcement) customers worldwide.
Assisting product teams to successfully introduce new products/versions. Champion supportability and preventative action on behalf of our customers.
The successful candidate is not expected to have experience in Azure technologies and a mixture of on the job training and formal Azure training will be provided.
The candidate will need to be eligible to obtain SC clearance and as such will need to have been a resident in the UK for 5 years. This role will be office-based 5 days a week so the successful candidate must be within commuting distance to our Southampton office.
How will you make an impact?
Provide 2nd/3rd line engineering support to the product
Provisioning, deploying, patching and upgrading primarily enterprise software hosted on the Azure cloud. Working closely with the development team to ensure successful deployment of software packages.
Defining and implementing regular maintenance and health monitoring procedures.
Work effectively with staff in all areas of the business, escalating when appropriate to management and/or R&D. Take into account technical and commercial relationships with end users, partners and service providers.
Deploy and provision systems to enable replication of customer issues to diagnose and repair without jeopardising customer data or operations.
Participate in a 24-7 Out of Hours call out rota.
Have you got what it takes?
The ideal candidate is a rapid learner, self-motivated and a good communicator and problem solver. A high quality of work is also particularly important.
Relevant technical customer support experience preferred, particularly within a Public Safety environment. Understanding what represents good ‘customer service’ and how to deliver it is essential.
Previous experience within an application, software or product support role is desirable
The candidate will need to be eligible to obtain SC clearance and as such will need to have been a resident in the UK for 5 years.
Working knowledge of Windows server and client technology, ideally supporting web applications and services
Experience with web applications and configuration management.
Efficient, effective and respectful communication skills both with customers and within internal departments. Including;

Able to use effective questioning to confirm understanding of a customer problem and then provide help to solve it
