We are looking for a Digital Transformation Apprentice to join our Interiors Global Digital Transformation Team.

Our Interiors activity is looking for a Data Scientist Apprentice to be based in its Nanterre headquarters. This is an exciting opportunity for a student eager to develop expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) by participating in real-world automotive AI deployment initiatives. As a Data Scientist Apprentice, you will help integrate AI solutions into various business processes, enabling data-driven automation, decision-making, and enhanced product development.

Your Mission, Roles And Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the following missions described below:

AI Model Development and Deployment:
Assist in building and training machine learning models tailored to specific business problems (e.g., predictive maintenance, quality control, or autonomous systems).
Collaborate in deploying AI models into production environments, ensuring their scalability and reliability.
Work on automating AI pipelines and maintaining model performance over time.
Data Processing for AI:
Collect, preprocess, and clean large datasets from diverse sources for use in AI models.
Identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in the data to drive model improvements.
Ensure data quality and alignment with AI use cases, adhering to privacy and security standards.
AI Project Collaboration:
Work closely with AI engineers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
Contribute to defining AI project objectives, scope, and deliverables.
Collaborate on multi-functional teams to integrate AI into broader business workflows.
Performance Monitoring and Optimization
Monitor the performance of deployed AI models, using metrics and tools to measure their effectiveness.
Assist in fine-tuning models and algorithms to improve accuracy and efficiency.
Help identify potential areas of AI deployment across the organization.
Research and Innovation
Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning technologies.
Contribute to innovation projects and brainstorming sessions for future AI applications within Forvia.
Participate in AI/ML-focused events, competitions, or hackathons to enhance your technical skills.

Your profile and competencies to succeed

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have/be :

Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, AI, Machine Learning, or a related field.
Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and model development.
Experience or familiarity with Python and AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
Knowledge of data preprocessing techniques and database management (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
Good understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and AI deployment tools.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, cross-functional team environment.
Passionate about AI and its potential to drive innovation in the automotive industry.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have/be

Experience

Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial-scale Big Data and AI projects.
Solid background in machine learning techniques (e.g., k-NN, SVM, Random Forests) and deep learning.
Practical experience with Reinforcement Learning methods.
Familiarity with ML/DL frameworks such as Scikit-learn, XGBoost, TensorFlow, Keras.
Proficient in Python programming, with experience in using SQL and NoSQL databases for data processing.
