Job Description: Network L3 Engineer – Enterprise LAN and Wireless:
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Network L3 Engineer to oversee and manage the enterprise LAN (Local Area Network) and Wireless network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing, implementing, troubleshooting, and optimizing complex network systems in a large-scale enterprise environment. This role involves acting as a technical lead for critical issues and ensuring high availability, security, and performance of network services.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Network Design and Implementation
Design and deploy robust LAN and Wireless Network solutions tailored to enterprise needs.
Create detailed documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and policies.
Collaborate with architecture teams to integrate new technologies and ensure scalability.
2. Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution
Act as the Level 3 escalation point for complex network incidents and problems.
Perform root cause analysis and resolve recurring issues affecting the network's performance or reliability.
Utilize advanced diagnostic tools to monitor and troubleshoot network infrastructure.
3. Operations and Optimization
Manage, configure, and optimize LAN switches, Wireless controllers, and Access Points.
Conduct regular performance analysis and implement improvements to meet SLAs and KPIs.
Stay updated on best practices for network optimization and apply them proactively.
4. Security and Compliance
Ensure enterprise network security policies are enforced on LAN and wireless devices.
Collaborate with the Vulnerability team to mitigate them from the network devices.

6. Technology Upgrades and Lifecycle Management

Manage vendor relationships and work closely with OEMs for hardware replacements, bug fixes, and enhancements.
Technical Skills and Qualifications:
Mandatory Skills:
Strong knowledge of Enterprise LAN technologies, including VLANs, STP, RSTP, EtherChannel, and QoS.
Expertise in configuring and managing Wireless networks (e.g., Cisco, Juniper).
Hands-on experience with network troubleshooting tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds, Cisco DNA Center, Juniper MIST).
Proficiency in routing protocols like OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP.
Familiarity with 802.1X, RADIUS, and NAC solutions for wireless security.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of cloud-based network management platforms.
Experience with SD-WAN and network automation tools (e.g., Python, Ansible).
Certifications: CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional), CWNP (Certified Wireless Network Professional), or equivalent.
Experience with DDI Platform like Infoblox
Knowledge of Zscaler Internet and Private Access
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Equivalent work experience will also be considered.

Working on-call is mandatory once fully trained up: Monday to Monday, 18:00-08:00 in the week, all weekend and then 00:00 – 08:00 on the Monday.
