Job Description

Hawksworth UK are now recruiting for a Front Office, Senior C# Software Engineer for an IT FX team based in London. This is a great opportunity, Permanent, Hybrid working (3 days in the office per week), Central London location, European Investment Bank. If you don’t have Orchestrade experience but you have strong C# Development and Front office experience. Salary £90k - £120k depending on experience + Bonus + Package.

The role:
The candidate will spend a majority of time working on Orchestrade development / projects according to the needs of FX Risk IT and our customers.
The candidate will primarily work on development projects based on the needs of the IT department and our clients. This will include:
Developing code for various financial products,
Collaborating with different teams to support a range of IT projects,
Providing advanced support for production systems,
Integrating connected systems with the main platform, and
Advising on the best architectural approaches for system integration.

This senior software developer position requires excellent C# skills and strong knowledge of the Orchestrade vendor product (Although Orchestrade can be taught if you don’t have the experience), FX cash products, and FX derivative products. In addition to day-to-day coding work, the candidate will provide technical leadership and mentoring for other developers on the Orchestrade product and the FX options and cash business. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, and excellent collaboration skills. He or she will analyse, design, and develop solutions and also provide level 3 support for production systems as required. There will also be opportunities for ownership of specific deliveries, requiring some project management skills.

Hawksworth UK are now recruiting for a Permanent KDB+ Developer for a London Investment Banking client.

The role is:

The Job:
The opportunity sits in eFX technology which is responsible for a suite of applications and services that form the core of the eFX business line servicing clients, internal Sales, and other branches of the group. The suite includes connectivity to markets and multi-dealer venues, single dealer platform, pricing and trader tools, and supports FX spot, forward, options and deposits.
The services are implemented in C#, Java and KDB+.
The FX business is looking to improve their electronic footprint by leveraging KDB+ to determine client toxicity, back-testing and parameterisation of trading strategies, real time generation of key technical indicators, etc.

Skills & experience you will need:
Tenure as a KDB+ Developer (Essential experience)
Clear communication & systematic reasoning.
Deep experience with Q/KDB+ working in a similar environment.
Have front office knowledge of the FX business or quantitative finance.
UNIX OS knowledge.
Knowledge about software delivery process and methodologies.
Knowledge of Altair Panopticon would be a distinct advantage

Key Responsibilities
Work closely with the FX front office team by taking requirements and developing user analytics and solutions to aid MIS, pricing/trading algorithms and ultimately P&L.
Prototype solutions in a fast, agile manner with numerous demands from Front Office teams.
Be comfortable performing analysis and manipulation of large data sets in a high frequency low latency environment.
Provide technical design, architecture and infrastructure expertise to support the growing KDB+ footprint within the bank.
Participate in the development of all aspects of product delivery including design documents, functional specifications, unit testing and component build.
Participation on software releases which may be performed out of hours/weekends.

Hawksworth UK have a fantastic new opportunity available for one of our global Investment clients. We are now recruiting for a ‘Senior Data Analyst’ in their central London branch. Permanent role. Hybrid working (x2 days in the office per week). £70,000 to £100k basic + up to 10% bonus + package.

The successful candidate will be joining a brand-new team currently consisting of a Head of Data and a junior Data Analyst. You will need Investment data experience, Python, Power BI ,reconciliations, knowledge of IBOR & ABOR, data flows and presenting data experience.

Essential Experience:
Qualifications in STEM, Commerce, Finance, Accounting or a numerate related field. Desired: CFA, Certification in Python or Power BI
5 years’ experience in investment management or asset owner with investment operations capability.
Good understanding of financial markets/ financial instruments across asset classes.
Good understanding of data management functions and usage of investment data in its various forms.
Sound understanding of the nuances between the investment (IBOR) and accounting (ABOR) books of record and how these might be applied in an Asset Management and Asset Owner context.
Highly proficient investigation & data analytical skills, effectively articulate and present outcome of investigation and corresponding solutions.
Experience with process improvement and ability to continually identify better ways of working, especially experience with Power automate desirable.
Experience in Bloomberg and Refinitiv highly desirable.
Experience in data tools such as Power BI and Python
Experience in building data quality/management report

Job Description

Hawksworth UK are now looking for a Contract C# Developer for an electronic FX Algo team in London. 6 months assignment. Inside IR35. £840 per day.

We are looking for a goal orientated individual with strong knowledge of FX from the technology angle with a proven record of accomplishment in delivering Front Office trading systems.
As a Senior Developer in the eFX Algo Team, you will develop UI components that follow the strategic direction of the eFX business. You will understand business context and have significant technical skills in C# with a knowledge of Java being desirable (though not essential). You will have the ability to work towards strategic aims whilst also being able to influence the future technical direction.

Required skills & Experience:
Deep experience in WPF C# Graphical User Interfaces, working in a similar fast-paced environment.
Clear communication & systematic reasoning;
Knowledge of the software delivery process and methodologies;
Have general knowledge of the Front Office environment and of the FX business;
Understand Spot, Swaps, Outrights and in general the multi-dimensional nature of FX pricing;
