Job Title: Business Analyst

Location: Remote – Travel to London a few times per month

Salary: Up to £55k depending on experience

Our InsurTech client is seeking a Business Analyst to join their growing and dynamic team. You will be akey contributor to the success of product delivery, playing a central role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical execution. You’ll collaborate with both internal teams and external clients to ensure seamless implementation, effective adoption, and ongoing optimisation of our solutions. You’ll be responsible for capturing and analysing business requirements, translating them into well-defined, user-focused stories and specifications that development teams can easily implement.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Proven experience as a Business Analyst, ideally within software or InsurTech environments
Ability to convert business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements
Experience with Agile methodologies, including creating Epics and User Stories
Confident in stakeholder management and client-facing interactions
Comfortable collaborating across Development, QA, Support, and Product teams
Understanding of software development lifecycles and technical documentation best practices
Insurance industry experience is a plus but not essential
Working knowledge of SQL for data analysis is a plus
Experience using Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar tools for backlog and sprint management is a plus
Familiarity with tools like Miro for process mapping and workshop facilitation is a plus

Key Responsibilities

Requirements Gathering & Stakeholder Collaboration : Engage with internal teams and external clients to capture and document business and technical requirements. Ensure alignment of requirements with strategic product goals and client needs.
Documentation & User Stories: Create clear, detailed user stories, workflows, and acceptance criteria from the user’s perspective. Maintain comprehensive documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Sprint Support & Progress Monitoring: Support sprint planning by ensuring stories are complete and ready for development. Track sprint progress and communicate updates to stakeholders.
Issue Triage & Prioritisation: Manage and prioritise issues raised by clients and internal teams. Clearly communicate decisions and timelines to relevant stakeholders.
Product Standards & Methodology: Help uphold product and delivery standards, ensuring consistency in documentation, estimations, and workflows
Client Implementation & Support: Lead and support client onboarding through workshops, documentation, and training.
Learning & Industry Insight: Stay current on industry developments, regulatory updates, and emerging technologies

Summary Of Role

Support the development of Cyber Capability

Identify, manage, and mitigate security vulnerabilities in the delivery of your project(s) to minimise the risks, including use of IT Health Check and Vulnerability Assessments as required.
Advise managers and produce recommendations for the implementation of security controls
Assess the performance and effectiveness of security elements as directed and advise of potential solutions where corrective action and improvements are needed.

Our client is a Health & Protection Broker who have a fantastic opportunity to join their close knit team.

The Opportunity

This is an interesting and varied role and will require confident people to speak with clients and insurers over the telephone. As the first point of contact, you will need to use your initiative when handling queries and ensure that you are providing an excellent customer experience. As well as this, you will gather all relevant data for each client/customer’ renewal scheme. To enable you to co-ordinate the administration of schemes, you will need to carry out other duties including: Invoicing, claims, underwriting and accounts.

You will get all the training and development needed to be successful in your role and you’ll be rewarded with all the great benefits of working with the UK’s largest independent insurance broker.

What’s Needed To Be Considered?

You don’t need to have come from the insurance sector, but previous office based administration/client service experience is a must. We will consider candidates with a minimum of 1 years’ + experience.

You will possess strong communication skills with the confidence to speak with people over the phone. You will also have good attention to detail and a good understanding MS office, word and excel.
