Infrastructure Manager
Salary: Up to £55,000
Location: 5 Days Onsite in Tamworth
Nigel Frank is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Manager to support 300+ users globally for our client. In this role, you'll lead a team, manage critical IT systems, and oversee large-scale infrastructure projects that directly impact the success of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Collaboration: Lead a team, engage with departments to deliver IT solutions, and support the business’s strategic goals.
Operations Management: Oversee daily IT operations, manage server hardware, software, and network infrastructure, and ensure system performance through regular testing and troubleshooting.
WAN & Security: Manage WAN infrastructure for reliable connectivity and implement robust security measures.
Disaster Recovery: Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and ensure business continuity.
Project Management: Lead infrastructure projects, align plans with organisational roadmaps, and ensure timely delivery within budget.
Budget & Vendor Management: Manage the IT budget, track expenditure, and maintain vendor relationships.
Team Development: Mentor and develop the IT team, ensuring professional growth and high levels of customer satisfaction.
Technology Advancement: Stay updated on technology trends and implement improvements to optimise IT services.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Networking: Proficient in network administration, including Cisco, Fortinet, and Rukus, with strong knowledge of VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, and QoS.
Microsoft Technologies: Expertise in Windows Server, Azure AD, Office 365, and Exchange Online.
Hardware & Infrastructure: Experience with server infrastructure, RAID, SAN/NAS storage systems, and system monitoring tools like SolarWinds.
Virtualization & Cloud: Experience with Hyper-V, VMware, and cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and AWS.
Backup & Recovery: Knowledge of Veeam, disaster recovery setups, and business continuity tools.
Security & Compliance: Strong understanding of IT security best practices, ISO 27001, GDPR, and SIEM tools like Splunk.
Scripting & Automation: Familiarity with automation tools (PowerShell, Bash, Python) and ITSM platforms like ServiceNow.
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Ability to inspire and lead teams, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
