Retail is now one of the most targeted industry verticals in Cyber Security, we face a constantly changing threat landscape ranging from script kiddies to APT’s that are directly or indirectly targeting our software and data. We have a huge online presence and large retail estate which we have to protect against these threats and so it is important we have the people and technology to rise to this challenge.

About The Role

Working as part of the Identity and Access Management Team, you will be responsible for supporting the Identity Governance and Access management for the Next business.

You will also be responsible for supporting the lifecycle of access and identity covering the full Joiners, Movers and Leavers processes. You will work continuously on our IGA processes to provide security and user experience enhancements.

There will be a requirement to support the GRC and Audit teams to ensure that the IAM processes and current access models meet compliance and regulatory requirements.

You will work closely with business users and stakeholders to remediate any issues and ensure the team remains effective as new applications or services are introduced.

The role will require participation in a shift rota and supporting out of hours work where required by the business.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and maintain Next’s Identity Access Management solution and directory services
Conduct periodic user reviews and re-certifications of access.
Respond to any issues or incidents related to Identity and Access.
Support Audit requirements to ensure compliance with policies and regulations
Highlight areas of user awareness to be implemented into security awareness training.
Assist with the development and implementation of IAM policies, procedures and guidelines.
Create and maintain operational procedure, configuration and technical documentation.
Highlight opportunities for continual improvements to enhance the end-user experience, increase technology value, and improve security posture.
Work closely with key stakeholders to understand requirements and drive the design, development, and implementation of improvements to our IAM systems
Maintain metrics and reporting to ensure the performance of our IGA controls and the health of our Identity Services.
Monitor IAM systems and respond to any violations.
Assist Incident Response team with the investigation and resolution of Security Incidents when required.

Criteria

Essential

A keen interest in Information Technology and/or Cyber Security.
Ability to effectively plan and prioritise workloads, and report on current progress.
Solid and demonstrable understanding of the IAM cybersecurity landscape including identity stores, authentication / authorisation, PAM, MFA and IGA.
Clear understanding of Microsoft Identity Services (eg. Active Directory, Entra).
Solid understanding of Windows Operating Systems (eg. Policies, Access / Privilege models, Admin Account Requirements).
A team player who is hardworking and self-motivated.
Excellent attention to detail.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Understand and operate change management.

Desirable

Project delivery experience.
Familiarity with IGA technologies.
Relevant industry recognised Microsoft Technology qualification.
Understanding and experience of working for an eCommerce Retail company.
Knowledge of scripting languages such as Powershell or Python.

The Cloud FinOps Lead will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining policies, processes, and frameworks for cloud financial management. The successful candidate will help the organisation maximise return on cloud investments, driving efficiencies and optimising usage while fostering a culture of financial accountability across cloud teams. You will drive financial accountability and cloud optimization as we expand our Cloud footprint. About The Role

In this role, you will develop and implement FinOps frameworks, including policies, processes, and best practices, to ensure effective cloud financial management aligned with organisational goals. Responsibilities include identifying cost-saving opportunities, optimising resources, and tracking utilisation for efficiency. Collaboration with cloud engineers, DevOps, finance, and procurement teams is key to integrating FinOps principles and promoting responsible cloud usage. You will also create financial dashboards, provide insights and forecasts to senior stakeholders, and foster a culture of cloud financial responsibility through training. Additionally, you will manage Azure cloud service budgets, negotiate with vendors, and conduct regular FinOps maturity assessments to drive continuous improvement. Key accountabilities include ensuring budget alignment, report accuracy, policy compliance and leading initiatives to enhance cloud financial management in line with industry best practices.

Every piece of infrastructure at Head office, in the stores, the warehouses, for the website or the contact centre are supported by this area. Central services such as Microsoft Azure, GSuite and GCP, file services, Citrix, Active Directory (and much more) are all provided and supported by this area.

About You

Microsoft Azure: Advanced knowledge and experience in Microsoft Azure cloud services, including Azure Cost Management, Reserved Instances, and Azure Advisor.
Cloud Cost Management Tools: Familiarity with cloud cost management and monitoring tools such as Azure Cost Management, Infracost, or other FinOps tooling.
FinOps: Experience with implementing cost-saving initiatives, generating detailed cost reports, and conducting regular reviews with stakeholders to align cloud spending with financial goals and operational efficiency.
Automation & Scripting: Proficiency in automation and scripting tools (e.g., PowerShell) to create custom reports and automate repetitive tasks related to cost monitoring and management.
FinOps Certification: Certification from the FinOps Foundation (e.g., FinOps Certified Practitioner) is required to ensure a solid understanding of FinOps principles, processes, and tools.
Data Analysis and Visualization: Advanced proficiency in data analysis and visualisation tools, such as Microsoft Power BI and Google Sheets, to build complex data models and impactful visualisations for a wide range of audiences and requirements
Azure Cost Management: Expertise in Azure-specific cost management tools and features, including billing management, budgeting, and pricing strategies.
Policy and Governance: Ability to design, implement, and enforce cloud financial governance policies and processes to ensure financial accountability across cloud projects.
Cloud Performance Optimization: Familiarity with performance optimization practices, such as instance rightsizing, workload optimization, and auto-scaling in Azure.

The role

As a DevOps Engineer you’ll play a key part in this. Your focus will be on migrating our on-premise platforms to the cloud, working in alignment with our Development teams and providing Cloud environment knowledge. You’ll do this using different technologies:

Infrastructure-as-code
Azure DevOps (on-premises and cloud), CI/CD pipelines, automated builds/releases
Docker containers, Kubernetes, microservices, SonarQube, Helm charts
PowerShell scripts
SQL Server database, Windows & Linux servers
Microsoft .NET Framework, .NET Core, ASP.NET Core, C#, TFS

In addition, we’re looking for you to be:

Able to speak, read and write English at a level that enables you to complete your role, for example, to understand instructions and communicate effectively with stakeholders and/or other team members
Experienced in effectively working in a collaborative manner in a large scale, fast paced environment within a multifunctional technical team

In this role you’ll support our tech teams as well as the overall business by giving advice on the implementation of Information Security policies and standards across NEXT. We’re looking for an Analyst to join us at a Junior level to learn the ropes and grow within the team.

The position also involves identifying security risks we face when working with third parties, advising business and tech stakeholders on remediation strategies and working to uphold best practice at all times. You’ll help to create, maintain and communicate Security policies, Third Party risk assessments, regulatory requirements, Security Awareness training, Audit requirements and triage issues..

About You

We’d love for you to have the following skills:

Strong analytical and troubleshooting mindset
Regulatory, security and compliance standards knowledge/experience i.e. SOC, ISO27001 and PCI-DSS
Good comprehension of Information Security including malware, emerging threats, attacks and vulnerability management
Compliance understanding and knowledge
Windows Server and/or Linux, network administration and application development knowledge
Solid communication skills and attention to detail
Flexibility in approach and able to cover unsociable hours and peak periods at short notice
Relevant industry recognised security qualifications is desirable for us

In addition, we’re looking for you to be:
