About the Company: A prominent mid-size proprietary trading firm with headquarters in Chicago and offices globally is looking to take on a new Senior Analyst to join one of their Energy Trading teams in London. Following a period of strong performance, they are looking to grow their European Gas and Power Desk. They are backed by a large Multi-Strategy fund that operates both as a liquidity provider and trader across various energy asset classes. This allows Traders and Analysts to leverage a robust proprietary tech stack as well as unique and diverse data across both the buy side and sell side. You would be placed within a close-knit team of talented traders and analysts where you will work to develop trading strategies and initiatives based on fundamental research and deep market knowledge combined with quantitative methods. You will have junior analysts that will support you in your research while learning from you. The fund has significant tech resources with its own proprietary risk management systems and data team so you will have access to the information you need to conduct your analysis and design strategies . Your Role: Work on the development and deployment of simulation models of European Gas markets. This includes daily analysis assessing the impact of fundamentals and external factors Monitor gas production, gas demand including gas to power generation, cross border flows Review, communicate and discuss model performance with the rest of the team as well as other key internal stakeholders. Be a leader in proposing, testing and implementing improvements as required Collecting and maintain up-to-date market information and analyze market conditions to evaluate fundamental trade opportunities Develop and use analytic tools to predict changes in the gas markets Participate in the gross margin formation by providing trade or tactical recommendations View to helping the desk as an execution trader Experience/skills required: Prior Commodities experience. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Econometrics or Applied Economics, or a related field. Knowledge of Python and/or VBA. Proven track record of providing quality analysis in a timely manner. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong Excel skills are required. Job title: Senior DevOps Engineer Salary: PS250,000-PS350,000 The team: In this role, you will be responsible for a platform that enables continuous deployment of systems throughout the estate. This role is critical in enabling consistent delivery and minimizing the change failure rate of our company's IT systems, identifying, and driving efficiency and reliability improvement initiatives through the estate. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in independently building and developing solutions for continuous deployment, measuring and improving DevOps metrics, and in working with infrastructure and development teams as well as 3rd parties.
