Title: Geographic Information System Developer Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced developer with a focus on GIS backend and frontend development to join our agile release train, working in a technical and demanding environment. Our train is dedicated to delivering an incredible user experience to our internal and external users. The candidate will work in the team that enables the delivery of geospatial capabilities. The products have been in active use (and development) for several years. The ideal candidate will have experience with the Luciad portfolio together with a deep understanding of Typescript, React, Jest, Java, SpringBoot, and JUnit or demonstrate the ability to quickly learn these technologies. In addition to technical skills, a strong interest and familiarity with API design thinking is essential. Seniority: Senior Place of work: ~50% onshore, ~50% nearshore Key Responsibilities: Design and build high-quality geospatial components. Test and maintain the delivered artifacts. Write and update the technical documentation. Provide guidance to and support the business teams on delivering geospatial capabilities. Technical Competencies: Ability to capture, articulate and understand technical user requirements. Ability to create and maintain backwards compatible API components. Ability to work in a Linux and CI/CD environment. Skilful with Typescript, React, Jest, Java, SpringBoot, and JUnit or the ability to quickly learn these technologies. Experience with Figma is an asset. Proficiency in GIS tools. Knowledge of the LuciadFusion, -Lightspeed or -RIA is an asset. Mastery of GIS standards. Knowledge of GML, WFS or WMS is an asset. Experience working with exotic protocols to integrate legacy services is an asset. Experience with gradle, npm or git is an asset. Experience with kubernetes, OpenShift or cloud is an asset. Soft Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven problem-solving skills and critical thinking. Proven collaboration and teamwork experience within agile teams. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Analytical mindset with attention to detail. Language Proficiency: Mastery of the English language is essential, as it is the working language of the train. Candidates must be proficient users at level C1/C2 as defined by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Knowledge of French, the second official language of the Agency, is an asset. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
