The Role
We are currently looking for a 1st line Support engineer to join a dynamic IT team as a 1st Line Support Engineer and make a difference in a growing business.

Key Responsibilities:

As a 1st Line Support Engineer, you will be the first point of contact for technical issues and support requests, ensuring smooth operations for all users. Your day-to-day tasks will include:
Supporting Windows 10 and Windows 11 systems.
Troubleshooting mobile devices, desktop systems, printers, and scanners.
Installing and configuring hardware, with strong PC configuration skills.
Providing remote and on-site technical support.

Required Technical Skills & Experience:
Proficiency in Windows 10 and Windows 11.
Mobile and desktop support experience.
Knowledge of printers, scanners, and general hardware configuration.

Personal Skills:
A proactive attitude with a desire to develop and succeed.
Excellent communication skills, suitable for users at all technical levels.
Exemplary telephone manner.
Strong problem-solving abilities and resolution skills.
Exceptional interpersonal skills to build relationships and trust.

Desirable Skills & Qualifications:
Working towards Microsoft Certifications.
Experience with Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
Backup monitoring and management knowledge.
Networking experience, including LAN/WAN and firewalls.
Familiarity with ITIL principles.
Proficiency in creating network documentation.
Experience with remote support tools, helpdesk systems, and monitoring software.

Permanent, Law Firm, London/Remote (Hybrid 3 Days Onsite). £65k - £80k +Bonus +Benefits Global Law Firm with significant inhouse server infrastructure seeks an Infrastructure Analyst/3rd Line Support Engineer to join the team and be involved in a mix of 3rd line support and project delivery work focusing on their Wintel Server environment comprising core Windows Server AD/GPo/AzureAD in relation to EUC infrastructure (InTune, Endpoint Manager, SCCM etc). Whilst this is an infrastructure support role which will involve significant elements of BAU support at the 3rd line you will also be involved in numerous projects including Win10/Win11 rollouts, again from an infrastructure perspective (not at the desktop) and/or deployment of End User Experience Monitoring/Digital Experience Monitoring infrastructure (with tools such as Riverbed Aternity, Aternity Agent etc) to improve the end user experience by deploying wholesale changes within the Wintel infrastructure. As the Infrastructure Analyst/3rd Line Support Engineer you will carry out BAU support, installations, upgrade, moves, maintenance and decommissioning of all Wintel Servers and related equipment adhering to a strict set of guidelines. You will also monitor and maintain all EUC infrastructure environments to ensure stability and security encompassing elements of the M365 Stack, MS Exchange Online environments, MS Teams and more specifically the InTune/Endpoint Manager infrastructure behind the mobile device management (MDM) piece. Delivery of and automation of tasks will be undertaken using Powershell where appropriate. We are searching for Infrastructure Analyst/3rd Line Support Engineer/EUC Infrastructure Engineer who has worked on a large-scale global server environment where you have gained a mixture of experience of 3rd line BAU support work as well as project work centred around Windows Server 2012/2016/2019 Active Directory/Group Policy, InTune/Endpoint Manager (SCCM in previous years), MS Exchange/M365, Azure Cloud and Networking principles. You may also have touched on Citrix in the past (non-essential). You will bring an ITIL awareness combined with a security focussed approach at all times. Any MSFT certifications would be useful; any MSFT security courses/qualifications such as SC-200 or SC-300 would be helpful but non-essential. You may have been working in a Law Firm, Solicitors, Legal Services environment or similar professional services environments such as Accountancy, Financial Services, Consultancy etc and be able to demonstrate your experience of delivering projects across multiple geographies. If you have been working in a Law Firm (or professional services firm) you may have gained experience with iManage or similar document management systems, InTapp (or similar) for time management or Elite3E Practice Management systems or iManage; all of these are non-essential but potentially of interest should you have supported infrastructure environments hosting these platforms.
