Job Title: Platform / Software Engineer (Senior / Staff) Salary: £80-120k (no bonus, but generous equity) Location: fully remote Industry: FinTech About the company This new breed of FinTech is completely revolutionising the corporate and investment banking space with their innovative, mission critical systems for automating complex loan management/corporate lending processes, addressing inefficiencies in outdated (sometimes 30-40 years old) banking systems This is a completely untapped area, in which they are the 1st successful mover with no existing competition in place - think Monzo but for corporate banking (where there is a lot more money flowing than in retail banking) With a lean, foundational team of 20, they've managed to successfully deliver and deploy the first iteration of their product into production and are already managing £700m of assets from Tier 1 banking clients. They're just getting started and will expand very significantly over the next year. For now, we're hiring for 10-12 roles and amongst those 1-2 Platform/Software Engineers. Must have requirements: Strong programming background in Python, Rust, Go, and/or TypeScript (proficiency in multiple languages is highly desirable) Extensive cloud experience - AWS preferred (multi-cloud experience is a bonus) Proficiency in Kubernetes and Terraform (experience with Terragrunt is desirable) Well-rounded SRE/Platform Engineering experience, including cyber security, CI/CD and observability Self-starter/proactive approach, with a proven track record of designing and deploying innovative solutions to solve complex problems Bonus points for experience with: messaging systems like Kafka distributed systems working with complex financial applications/banking products - quant/trading background would be beneficial Please note: unfortunately, this role does not offer VISA sponsorship.
